Gebbster Posted October 28, 2020 at 08:14 PM Share Posted October 28, 2020 at 08:14 PM All, I applied for my CCL renewal back in March for an April Expiration. Illinois took the check on March 14th but I show in process. We are moving November 16th to a new address. I do not see a place that I can update my address for CCL.Foid updates are 80.00 and while it stinks having to pay that I will but I am concerned that the CCL will come to the old address,I know I have to change my D.L. also and hopefully that will get the CCL to the new address but what if the two different address cause a problem?Anyone know of a way around this or a person to contact? ThanksRalph
THE KING Posted October 28, 2020 at 08:31 PM Share Posted October 28, 2020 at 08:31 PM $80 is the renewal fee for FOID and your FCCL. Hopefully someone can help you move than I can.
Gebbster Posted October 28, 2020 at 09:49 PM Author Share Posted October 28, 2020 at 09:49 PM I don't mind paying the $80.00 well I do but that is the price to living in Illinois. What would be terrible is that I pay the money, then they send it to the old address and make me pay it again when it is their fault. That is also what I am trying to avoid, that and a lost CCL since we moved.
Toolmaker8185 Posted October 29, 2020 at 06:27 AM Share Posted October 29, 2020 at 06:27 AM Do you by chance own the property that you are moving from? If so, you could wait for your renewal to go through and then do the change of address process. I think the cost of a replacement card is absolutely insane. Shouldn't be more than twenty five bucks. snowcat Posted October 30, 2020 at 01:15 PM Share Posted October 30, 2020 at 01:15 PM I'm in the same boat but have just moved, was able to update FOID Address but when I try to update the address for CC that is still pending (Past the 120 Days law dictates, applied mid May). When I click on the button to change my address for CC, it says I will have to reapply. My CC had April Expiration. "Name and/or Address changes cannot be completed for any FOID or CCL beyond its printed expiration date. Please click OK to re-apply for your FOID or CCL."
