seanc Posted July 1, 2020 at 02:53 PM Share Posted July 1, 2020 at 02:53 PM I just noticed there's no more FMJ ammo to be bought at my usual bulk online sales outlets. Looked at SGAmmo and Lucky Gunner. For 9mm, nothing in stock for under $0.80/round, certainly no FMJ. I looked at one of my reloading suppliers and they had this on their splash page: UPDATE 6/30/2020. We aren't sure what happened, but we've just experienced a full week of huge order volumes. We are going to have to extend the backorder times out to about 4-6 weeks for any new orders.
Rmac702 Posted July 1, 2020 at 03:43 PM Share Posted July 1, 2020 at 03:43 PM Yes indeed. Online suppliers have been out of stock for bulk 9mm for a few weeks now. Prices have skyrocketed for those that are selling it. The average selling price on Gunbroker right now is $420 per 1000rds plus $25-$30 shipping. carry Posted July 1, 2020 at 04:37 PM Share Posted July 1, 2020 at 04:37 PM Checkout wikiarms.com. I see 15 cents a round 9mm, S&B 1000 rounds for $189 (~19 cents a round), but I'd only use S&B for practice - reloading their primers I get about a 1-2 per 100 failure rate. I had a higher failure rate than that (large pistol primers). They were nice enough to send me a bunch of factory ammo since they couldn’t ship primers. I was happy with that level of goodwill. Didn’t have any issues with their small pistol primers...
