JB Pritzker Stance on Firearms

Hate to tell you this, but what do you think JB is going to do with your tax dollars?

So you think I should ignore what Rauner has ACTUALLY done because of what you think Prizker MIGHT do? Okay. Seems like great logic. So, how many babies will you allow Rauner to sacrifice for your gun rights before you'll take a stand against this EVIL? 100? 1000? 10,000?

I hate to break this to you...he's going to lose anyway. Hillary won this state by a landslide. Rauner believes he's going to win re-election by stabbing his base in the back? LMFAO.

Let's face it. If you won't take a stand against murdering babies, you won't take a stand on anything. Amirite?

This is not the time to make a stand on other moral grounds.

When will it be? When will it be time to take a moral stance? When it doesn't matter?

I'm sorry, I WILL NOT vote for a man that uses my money to murder babies. End of story. Come get my guns, JB. Bring it.

Shall we consider you an, "Anit-Gun Person", from now on then? OK.

This is why our side always loses. For god sakes people, suck it up in November to stop someone WORSE than Rauner. Want to know what JB wants in terms of abortion (for those of you talking about it)? Here.

http://www.ontheissues.org/Archive/2018_IL_Gov_J_B__Pritzker.htm

Pritzker said if he is elected governor, he is prepared to preserve women's reproductive rights at all costs. "We need a governor to sign this bill and when I become governor, I will demand immediate action and I will be the governor that will sign it," he said.

The bill would remove language from the Illinois Abortion Law of 1975 which declares that "the unborn child is a human being from the time of conception and is, therefore, a legal person for purposes of the unborn child's right to life." Additionally, the proposal would remove a provision that denies health insurance coverage of abortion to women on Medicaid and State Employee Health Insurance.

Last thing I'll say on this, before we devolve into something decidedly not family friendly - How is it that supporting JB (and lets face it, doing anything other than voting for Rauner is supporting JB) taking a "stand" against abortion?

This. I personally dont make an issue out of abortion, as for me personally, it doesnt effect me. But, JB is EVEYTHING a pure blood commucrat is and we MUST defeat that slimeball. The high ground attitude is our Achilles heel, sometimes our side need to close our eyes and suck it up for the greater cause

Hi,

As a staunch 2A believer and abortion opponent, I look at it this way.

Yes, Rauner is subject to sway with the pilitical winds, as he did on abortion recently. But if we can make the wind sway the other way, he will be equally willing to go in a more desirable direction in the future.

With JB, there is no reason to think he will ever sway in a favorable direction -- whether on the Second Amendment, abortion, taxes, or anything else.

FWIW.

Rich, you are 100% right.

Rauner is wishy washy, JB is pure liberal socialist and is proud of it. JB will NEVER EVER side with our ideals or stances. Period.

Quoted from OP Molly's quote from a friend:

"Pritzker is a big-money funder of state and national gun control groups"

Well, ya just gotta love it when a 1.5x Billionaire is a "big money funder." Over 7 YEARS the clown gave $101,000 through his foundation. Oh how generous, how supportive!

Here's the math: $100K from a guy with $1.5Billion = [is the equivalent of]

10k " " " 150Million =

1k 15M =

$100 1.5M =

So this is the equivalent of a 1 1/2x millionaire (i.e., net worth $1,500,000) giving $100 to a big time cause. Spread over 7 years.

Yeah, it really helps to start with a Billion dollar inheritance, but is anyone impressed?

We need to pony up our time, our effort, and OUR MONEY, real money, to fight for our cause.

Hey, the fat kid has to eat.

Jim - with the "reserves" that JB has, he could probably last a year as long as he stayed hydrated.

Agreed !

Howard Roark commented about JB being on "meds". I'm overweight (25 lbs.) and have been on BP meds for 20 years and I am still in better shape than JB. With the stress that the campaign season can bring (remember HRC's "wobbles"?), what is the possibility he will have a stroke or heart attack? :frantics:

Of course, you need a brain and a heart first, but when did the lack of those ever stop a liberal??

You know I'm not. And I won't be bullied by being called one into voting the way someone else tells me. As I've explained, I will not sacrifice babies for gun rights. I will not. I refuse to make that bargain.

And, I will say it again...Pritzker is going to the the next governor of Illinois. This is a fact. It's a fact you gentlemen ought to just get used to.

You will be sacrificing everything. I voted my conscience in the primary. My gal lost. I did all I could. Now the only moral and righteous thing I can do is keep that evil JB sack of crap out. That means voting for Rauner.

A vote for Rauner is a Vote against JB

A Not voting is a vote for JB

A vote for anyone other than Rauner is a vote for JB

And that may be. But if he wins, he'll win with your help (by your withholding the vote for Rauner.)... I really would like to answer this question though: "How is helping JB win the gubernatorial race taking a stand against abortion?" It's not "babies vs. guns". JB is both strongly pro-abortion and anti-gun. Please see the snippet above from his campaign website. JB is very proud of how pro-abortion he is...

Soylentgreen, I am not trying to attack or strong-arm you, and hope it doesn't come off that way. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am merely perplexed how anyone could think that withholding a vote for Rauner (e.g. helping Pritzker win) could benefit any conservative cause in any way...

And this is how politics works.

Politics is like making sausage. You don't want to know how it is made. All you're trying to do is make a product that doesn't get someone sick and tastes decently. But you don't want to know what is in your sausage. This is not the time to quibble about nutritional value. The other choice (JB) is poison.

We either eat a day old still in the warmer gas station hotdog (Rauner) or a week old piece of unrefrigerated salmon (JB).

Prizker is going to win more than 50% of the votes cast. So, if I vote for Rauner or another candidate will not matter AT ALL.

As I asked earlier...when will it be the appropriate time to stand against evil? To have principles? If not now, when? Someone please answer this question.

JB is going to be our next governor. We can desperately grasp at the idea that Rauner has the possibility to win...but he doesn't.

What was the voter percentage turnout in 2014? With 2M+ FOID card holders among others who do not support him, why can JB not be defeated?

Not that I am a big believer in polls, but from capitolfax:

According to a recent Capitol Fax/We Ask America poll, Democrat J.B. Pritzker leads Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner by nine points, 36-27, with 26 percent choosing an unnamed third-party candidate and 11 percent undecided. In other words, slightly more people said they preferred third party and/or were undecided than supported the frontrunner, Pritzker.

The partisan breakdown of respondents was 41 percent Democratic, 34 percent Republican and 25 percent saying they were independent. So, the two candidates have a ways to go to even convince members of their own parties to stand with them.

A full 36 percent of Republicans were still either undecided (9 percent) or chose a third-party candidate (27 percent), while 27 percent of Democrats were either undecided (6) or say they are backing a third-party candidate (21).

I think J.B. is more like 2 week old gas station sushi.

JB is e-coli infected suishi. Poison.

Rauner is that day old still in the warmer gas station hotdog - meh taste, but the food is not poisoned.

This is how bad politics has gotten.

Someone please answer this question.

You you may stand against the evil of abortion in church, at work if allowed. Each and every day you walk this earth, raise your children and care for your family, friends and those around you. You may even protest clinics, legislators and maybe abortion recipients if you like (that last one will be considered evildoing by you, so don't do that).

Not voting for Rauner is not fighting and standing up against evil.

I grant you an exception.

You may vote for Rauner, the lesser of two evils.

You have to admire someone who takes an unpopular stand here on moral grounds. I will not debate someone on points of faith, who am I to challenge that belief. I have and will continue to support Rauner no matter his position on Abortion. Gun control is a political issue to me that I have been fighting against for 45 years. Long before that I was raised to accept the fact that abortions are gonna happen and I am in no position to tell someone what they should do when confronted with that decision. So some of us can separate

the two. a few can not. He’s with us up to and until it conflicts with his religion. So be it, I’m still glad he’s with us most of the time.
