Retiredguns Posted July 1, 2018 at 12:11 AM Share Posted July 1, 2018 at 12:11 AM Checked out the newly opened GO in Rockford today. It's a little better than the old GM in my opinion. They have the new SIG P365 priced at $499 which is $100 below MSRP and cheaper than most online stores. They have Overtons so boaters will have 10x more boating supplies than GM. Other prices seem about the same as GN, Cabelas, etc.. At least we have another real outdoor store.
BigBL87 Posted July 1, 2018 at 07:19 AM Share Posted July 1, 2018 at 07:19 AM Did they JUST open? I stopped by this past Wednsday and they weren't open yet. Apparently I was a couple days early. I did stop by one in Wisconsin when my wife and I were on our way back from vacation, I ended up buying 150 rounds of Freedom Munitions .380 because they had it for like 24 cents a round which is the best I've seen lately. Was pretty happy with their variety and prices, better than most places.

Retiredguns Posted July 2, 2018 at 12:11 PM Author Share Posted July 2, 2018 at 12:11 PM Do they have reloading supplies and equipment like the old one did? I got summoned by the Wife when I started to browse the ammo area. I'm going back soon and will take a look.

Kaeghl Posted July 15, 2018 at 10:54 PM Share Posted July 15, 2018 at 10:54 PM I stopped in the other day and asked while pointing up 'through' the ceiling.... "Okay, you've been asked a hundred times already, but how big is it?" The cashier's reply was "Go ahead and guess." "50x80?" "Closest so far.....it's 40x80, and the flag pole is 150 tall." Seriously, the YUGE American flag can be seen from just North of Riverside, about 2+ miles away, I'm guessing. I like that. Reason enough to stop in again. So, it looks like management thought something through as far as how to attract attention. We'll see how the prices are next time I drop in. MSD Posted July 15, 2018 at 11:31 PM Share Posted July 15, 2018 at 11:31 PM Do they have reloading supplies and equipment like the old one did? Yes. I stopped by and they had powder. They only had some rifle primers, but the sales associate said they were waiting on shipments of a wider variety of powder and primers. I did not look for bullets or brass as I have a ton of brass and have never found bullets cheaper than online.
dukesoprano Posted July 15, 2018 at 11:55 PM Share Posted July 15, 2018 at 11:55 PM The powder is in a wooden cabinet so you have to look, starline brass in a couple calibers, I did not price the powder but the brass seems high. I live a couple blocks away and they sent coupons for 20% off and $10 off ANYTHING coupons in the mail. I asked every neighbor I could for their coupon( a lot of old ladies in my condo subdivision) Worked for me, my neighbor and I got a lot of ammo priced @ $15 for $
