What is your favorite EDC?

There have been many posts here about concealed carrying, and I have looked at every one. But I am very curious about what your favorite carry firearm is. Personally, I am a SIG man. I have three favorites - the P229 Legion, The Sig P226 Elite, and the Sig P320. I have also carried a few Tanfoglio 9mm in Polymer form. They are all full-frame, but that isn't an issue since I moved to Ohio where open carry is legal (and mostly unnoticed by the masses). Most days , I carry openly. For the life of me I cannot say what percentage of the time I conceal, as it is really minuscule. No One around here gives a rats a.s.s, or (most likely) notices when someone open carries. I really LOVE this State.

Yes, in some ways I am wagging my tongue at you folks in Ill-Noise because you are still under Communistic rule, but am still curious about what you favor to carry every day.

P938 is current carry gun. I've been through a Shield, G43, and P290RS. The thing that I look for in a carry gun is a short single stack grip. The P290RS was a great package size wise but didn't cut the mustard for me because I couldn't trust it after I had to send it back to Sig for quality control fixes. Shield was a smidge big. G43 had harsh recoil in my hand (later discovered to be a symptom of undiagnosed onset of illness). 938 was bought previously loved by one of our members. It's a beautiful pistol and does everything I require a carry gun to do.

My favorite is an alloy frame High Power with a Detective Slide... 15 + 1.

It's lighter and less bulky than the CZ P-01... 14 + 1.

This summer I'm really enjoying the tiny Sig P238 or the P938... both are 7 +1. The .380 P238 shoots better for me, but I am most proficient with the High Power which features SFS (Hammer Down Cocked and Locked). I prefer a single action to DA or DA/SA.

I've also grown fond of minimalist Kydex single clip holsters (Vedder Light-Tuck) rather than the Hybrid Kydex-Leather two clip holster such as Cross Breed and Alien Gear. I perceive better retention with a full molded holster. A similar style in leather would also work for me.

In the summer a Kimber Ultra Tactical .45 in a Wright Leather Works OWB pancake holster. In the winter time a Kimber Ultra Tactical .45 in a Wright Leather Works OWB pancake holster with a Sig P938 in my parka pocket until I can get to the Kimber. I don't understand why people have to change guns with the seasons, I just add in the colder months.
