Just got home from the p.m. class with the girls. Lots of good instruction from both instructors. The girls needed a little extra work to help them with their grip, and stance. The best thing that came out of it was the confidence the girls earned today. Looking forward to going again after they practice their new skills.
That was you. Awesome, the girls did a good job. I hope to see you guys again soon. It was a great day. Hot, but good. You're right, I could see the difference in their confidence by the end of class.
I'm assuming you were the taller of the two gentlemen that came on the Harley Davidsons. Steffie had a blast and you guys helped with that. She fumbled quite a bit with the magazine release on the HK I loaned her, but it was the only higher capacity gun I had in 9mm that could be carried in condition one. She carries a P238 so I wanted her to practice draw and safety manipulation, otherwise I would have given her my VP9 for the day and shot something else myself. When we go back she's going to have her own proper polymer pistol. She finally understood why I have been pushing her to get a P30 or similar. Once she has that at home too practice with you're going to see her really improve.
My wife can actually shoot pretty good under zero pressure. Yesterday had her so wound up she forgot everything and defaulted to panic because she was anxious about everyone watching. So, like the gentlemen we are, we missed a bit from our normally perfect groupings(right lol) and helped her find her groove. And her grip. Fatigue was a thing yesterday too. She popped off shots before the sights were lined up and her grip would shift as she ran each magazine.
We've got them coming out of a holster right, and reholstering safely. That's big. And they got a real shooting class under their belt while coming home with advise and instruction to help them grow. It's going to be a busy summer driving to ASC so they can practice.
