She's a democrat to begin with so she is full of you know what. Second of all, she is a democrat. She could go as far as using the democrats anti gun victories in VA and say that because they are all dems, they were a winning team. It doesn't necessarily need to mean she won a case locally. No one will second guess her in the local MSM.

"Fought the NRA and won" seems to be a pretty common standard phrase added to democratic campaigns up here.

Its probably a question that needs to be asked at a debate or town hall to those candidates coining the term. Last I checked We weren't added to the terrorist watch list.

I'd rather hear a States atty candidate say something like "I took on Gangs or organized crime and won". But we seem to be easy targets for Dems as we tend to obey laws and don't shoot up streets randomly and for no reason.

Take a moment and think about that..........

“I stood up to/fought the NRA, and won”

If all these candidates actually did this, and it’s rabid all across the US.

Then the NRA as we know it wouldn’t even be in business!

A former shell of themselves and with no pull in Washington, maybe half the members they have ever had!

But then after a little research today, I can’t find more than a small handful of fights in which the NRA lost their position.

Makes Ya Want To Go Hummmmmm

With apologies to Charles Dickens, this could be titled "Tale of Two Cities" (or maybe "Tale of Two Kims").

We can't say anything bad about them because they are both female.

We can't say anything bad about them because they are both "African-American".

We can't say anything bad about them because they are both Democrats.

We can't say anything bad about them because they are both prosecutors.

Maybe their problems stem from the fact they are both named "Kim" !

And their last names are only one letter apart - Kim Foxx in Chicago and Kim Gardiner in St. Louis.

Both are alleged to showing "favoritism". Both are accused of failing to do their jobs and prosecute arrestees. Both have trouble working with their police departments.

I could go on but you get the gist of it.

She claims to have grown up in Cabrini-Green. I don't know the truth of that, but if there was one single NRA member in that complex, I'd be stunned.

NRA had NOTHING to do with the violence in CG and other housing projects.

She needs to be voted out of office, but from the sound of it the guy running against her may be worse. He's talking about releasing 'non-violent' criminals so they 'have a second chance'. How about their victims? Don't they deserve a second chance as well? Why even have laws in the first place?

"Proud progressive" indeed.

The guy running against her is an ex Navy signals intelligence spook whos vowed to use all his prior skills to track gun owners down via paper trails and financial records. Think this is tinfoil? Its right there in his campaign promise. https://newdayconway.com/

Hes also a multi millionaires son that has nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking your guns, its a single issue platform for him. Like a mini Bloomberg.

Id rather take an incompetent SA and keep myself safe than a shrewd prosecutorial SA that sees busting every gun offender as his legacy.

New Tactics to Stop Illegal Guns

For years the approach in Afghanistan had been to target Taliban fighters, who would then be replaced by more militants with more weapons. Bills mission with Naval Intelligence was to employ new and innovative tactics to go after the drug money that financed the Talibans gun trafficking. He learned that if you follow the money, you can root out the cause of the problem.

Here at home, the old way of keeping illegal guns off our streets isnt working. The police are getting the illegal guns, only to have perpetrators of gun violence back on the street with new and more deadly weapons. Bill wants to take the lessons he learned in the Navy to bring new, smart, and innovative strategies to cut off the funding that puts illegal guns on our streets. Working in our communities and with our neighboring counties and states, we can make us all safer by going after the gangs that profit by flooding our streets with illegal guns. And if you commit a crime with a gun while Conways in office, youre going to jail.

Hes going after us, because rarely do illegal guns have extensive paper trails or electronic/bank transactions you can cut off.

Ripped right from Bloombergs Everytown platform

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/24/mike-bloombergs-presidential-platform-and-industries-it-will-affect.html

Everytown is also in favor of a bill introduced by Rep. Jennifer Wexton, D-Va., that would require banks to report suspicious or illegal financial activity relating to guns.

For the record, Conway Sr. is worth around $3.5B, not mere multimillions. He donated multimillions to his son's campaign.

What happened to Donna More? Is she still running?

^^^^ how you got that out of that campaign literature is a huge stretch of the imagination

Bill Conway’s self admitted time spent with the Navy was working with (assuming) OFAC and FinCEN to track money going to the Taliban. He vows to use those skills/connections on gun transactions.

After the appeal of Obama’s operation choke point https://townhall.com/columnists/andrewlanger/2018/09/15/the-ghosts-of-obamas-operation-choke-point-n2519008 the civilian disarmament complex has been looking to again put pressure back on banking/electronic transactions used in gun sales.

Here’s Sean Casten talking about the same thing, using FinCEN regulations to put pressure on gun transactions.

https://casten.house.gov/media/in-the-news/legislation-introduced-fight-gun-violence-examining-financial-information

They’re talking points and press releases are all the same because they’re all from the same source playing the same strategy. All referenced back to D Jennifer Wexton out of Virginia, another one of Bloomberg/Everytown candidates he bought that election cycle.

Think about this, who buys guns in untraceable cash many transactions away from a bank and who buys guns with money in the bank, on credit/debit cards, electronic payment, etc?

I'm pretty sure the "drug money that financed the Talibans gun trafficking." wasn't a convenient credit card statement either, seems like he's specifically talking about following the cash that the gangs use

Some of it was pretty easy to chase as it came from legitimate Saudi Banks and, although never proven, from Bill Conways father via the Carlyle group. Odd choice of profession in the armed services for his son considering how politically connected his father is.
