  1. Seems like a mistake for insurance companies to do this. More likely to get sued for denying someone the right to self protect after being injured by a criminal.
  2. (3) "Assault weapon attachment" means any device capable of being attached to a firearm that is specifically designed for making or converting a firearm into any of the firearms listed in paragraph (1) of this subsection (a). How is a complete lower an attachment? You would be still required to register your "assault weapon attachment" parts, but not firearms that are not semi-automatic. Remember, this information is coming from Washington Gun Law who is a lawyer.
  3. Here are the oral arguments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lduOiU0vbww
  4. Todd says Supreme Court found unique way to delay ruling, but shows FOID is on life support.
  5. Anyone read the State's reply? That was a piece of work. Garson S. Fischer should be fired for submitting that garbage, but then again that is about all the state has to support their case.
  6. Tell them to go to heck, not their job. ISP should come get it or send you a letter, not Cook County... Cook County spends too much time micro policing non-criminals...
  7. https://chicagocode.org/8-24-020/ So would state law superseded this Chicago nonsense? Would suck to lose a Benchmade to crooks in Chicago.
  8. Should keep an eye on this case. Issue: (1) Whether the Second Amendment secures a right to carry handguns outside the home for self-defense; and (2) whether state officials violate the Second Amendment by requiring that individuals wishing to exercise their right to carry a handgun for self-defense first prove a “justifiable need” for doing so. http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/drake-v-jerejian/
  9. Wonder if handgun age limit will be challenged anytime soon.
  10. From this case, "the City can charge a nominal fee to defray costs", which is how other courts have ruled. Only fees can only be as much as to cover the cost of the program.
