I didn't know it was that time already. :) I think I'll wait till next year or maybe even the following year. Sure enough I think I'll wait till 2019. Who knows what I'll happen before that time. If you're worrying about refresher now you need something to do to put less stress in your life.

Yep first permits expire in 2019 if memory serves. Just a little more than a year away.

Knowing our super messed up state I bet they don't do it on time and a bunch of the earliest issued are left hanging.

Oh, by the time we all come up for renewal, it probably won't even be possible to process the renewals because the state is flat broke and can't afford to pay anyone for anything. FSB will come grinding to a halt as the state had no money for "discretionary spending" and even if it did, that would go to public assistance programs.

Maybe they could open up a few more non-resident states permitted and get some more fees coming in! :-)

I say that they'll let it go unanswered on purpose and force us to either not carry or be technically illegal- and then cancel renewals for those caught. It IS Illinois after all. My native state and I HATE it with all my being.

The $150 renewal fee is absurdly high already. If that doesn't cover their costs, nothing will!

Remember, this is the state that loses money on FOIDs. It likely loses millions issuing CCLs as well since they spent God knows how much money on the information systems, printer(s), probably only one, pay the FSB employees, set up the CCLRB, pay them, blah and blah.
