sfdoc5 Posted June 14, 2017 at 08:19 PM Share Posted June 14, 2017 at 08:19 PM So I am going to assume that when you renew your FCCA card there is still the 4 hour refresher and qual? Can someone verify this is still in place?
stm Posted June 14, 2017 at 08:24 PM Share Posted June 14, 2017 at 08:24 PM 3 hours. Review of law, changes in law, qualification shoot. Still in the law, for now. I would like to see this go away.
OrlandInstructor Posted June 14, 2017 at 08:29 PM Share Posted June 14, 2017 at 08:29 PM It's actually a 3 hour class including Range. ISP has not announced how long before your expiration you can take the class.

spec5 Posted June 15, 2017 at 02:14 AM Share Posted June 15, 2017 at 02:14 AM I didn't know it was that time already. I think I'll wait till next year or maybe even the following year. Sure enough I think I'll wait till 2019. Who knows what I'll happen before that time. If you're worrying about refresher now you need something to do to put less stress in your life. Yep first permits expire in 2019 if memory serves. Just a little more than a year away. Knowing our super messed up state I bet they don't do it on time and a bunch of the earliest issued are left hanging.

skinnyb82 Posted June 19, 2017 at 07:08 PM Share Posted June 19, 2017 at 07:08 PM Oh, by the time we all come up for renewal, it probably won't even be possible to process the renewals because the state is flat broke and can't afford to pay anyone for anything. FSB will come grinding to a halt as the state had no money for "discretionary spending" and even if it did, that would go to public assistance programs. It IS Illinois after all. My native state and I HATE it with all my being.

skinnyb82 Posted June 20, 2017 at 12:24 PM Share Posted June 20, 2017 at 12:24 PM Remember, this is the state that loses money on FOIDs. It likely loses millions issuing CCLs as well since they spent God knows how much money on the information systems, printer(s), probably only one, pay the FSB employees, set up the CCLRB, pay them, blah and blah.
