You'd think perhaps he would instead file legislation repealing the taxpayer funding of abortions or the sanctuary state status of Illinois or the allowing of transgenders to share restrooms with my daughter. But no, let's go after bumpstocks...

spec4 Posted February 15, 2018 at 01:35 PM Share Posted February 15, 2018 at 01:35 PM In Illinois it's hard to tell the difference in a Democrat or Republican. This fool needs to to voted out.

BigJim Posted February 15, 2018 at 04:12 PM Share Posted February 15, 2018 at 04:12 PM The only thing a bump stock ban will do is prevent you from taking one out in public. There is no way for the state to confiscate them. Bump stocks have no serial # and are not sold through an FFL. There is no way (unless you tell the state) for the state to know you own one. Dobroguy Posted February 19, 2018 at 02:51 PM Share Posted February 19, 2018 at 02:51 PM Bump stocks kinda like a toy to play with but not really use..Just my view......
kevinmcc Posted February 20, 2018 at 02:56 AM Share Posted February 20, 2018 at 02:56 AM Bump stocks kinda like a toy to play with but not really use..Just my view......Yep. Still not statistics showing use in crimes. Still no report if bump stock caused more harm or less harm in the Las Vegas shooting. I believe the bump stocked made more of the shooter's shots miss his intended target area and reduced the number of casualties. The true effective of a bump stock ban, less tax revenue, expenses if someone is caught with one. This will cost tax payers when someone is passing through and get caught with one. Class 2 felony? Not less than 3 years and not more than 7 years. Class X felony? Not less than 6 years and not more than 30 years. The Dems are out of their minds when they have no good reason to ban bump stocks nor facts to support a bump stock ban.

Nanook Posted February 21, 2018 at 05:02 PM Share Posted February 21, 2018 at 05:02 PM And now President Trump has directed the DOJ to ban bump stocks. I have no use for one, could buy one anytime I like, and never have. But it seems like the proverbial "camel's nose in the tent".
