Can anyone tell me when the conceal carry review board meets an how often

Folks have asked this before and I haven't seen an answer. There doesnt appear to be a set day/time/interval, nor could I find them listed on any state board meeting schedules published on the state site. Molly is probably going to be the one to provide best answer.

They usually meet once or twice a month but due to everyone's schedule, I don't think they have a specific day each month.

Which is completely bogus. They need to be working full time, people civil rights are on hold due to their unwillingness to do their jobs.

It's best if you know the details before calling something bogus. They review cases electronically all month long and then make their final rulings when they meet. Plus, I believe most, if not all, already work full time in their own careers.

I'm not really trying to be argumentative with you, but maybe they should appoint some people who can actually do the job instead of meeting on a weekend due to the demands of their other jobs.

The Firearm Concealed Carry Act states specifically:

(1) one commissioner with at least 5 years of service
as a federal judge;
(2] 2 commissioners with at least 5 years of
experience serving as an attorney with the United States Department of Justice;
(3] 3 commissioners with at least 5 years of
experience as a federal agent or employee with investigative experience or duties related to criminal justice under the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Homeland Security, or Federal Bureau of Investigation; and
(4) one member with at least 5 years of experience as
a licensed physician or clinical psychologist with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.

And just like with non-resident carry (and many/most of our firearms laws), they have enacted a regulatory scheme that is unable to fulfill its designated functions, so the regulatory system is allowed to trample on peoples rights.

Well, this particular regulatory scheme could probably function within a sorta reasonable limit, but it's being gamed by bad actors in the LE community out of spite/malice.

It's just mind boggling how dismissive these agencies and organizations are to the people that they are sworn to respect their rights.

To get people for the board who meet the requirements you would be looking at a million+ per year in salary. You can bet that salary would be tacked onto the cost of the license.
