Here is a study done by the Department of Justice that EVERY IL elected official should read.

Here is the first paragraph of the study:

 

It took the United States government’s Department of Justice an entire study dedicated to gun use and criminals to figure out what logical human beings have already understood for decades. The result of their own study found that gun control laws will never work because criminals will never use legal channels to obtain guns.

Wait....are you saying that the report is saying that criminals don't get their guns from their local FFL after showing them their FOID cards and filling out a 4473?   The heck you say....

Exactly that.  The Anti's want to ban every firearm, of every sort, across the board. Of course, with major carve outs for their elitists.
