stitch58 Posted September 14, 2018 at 04:57 PM Share Posted September 14, 2018 at 04:57 PM I had my renewal class on Sep 8th. Received certification of class. Now waiting to renew. License expires 2/28/19.
axel2078 Posted September 26, 2018 at 10:02 PM Share Posted September 26, 2018 at 10:02 PM I took my renewal course on Sept 15th, but my license doesn't expire until May of next year. I have a while to wait until I can apply but that's ok. I figured that classes would start filling up as the year comes to a close since many folks will need to get renewed by early next year. Frank Posted September 28, 2018 at 05:58 PM Share Posted September 28, 2018 at 05:58 PM Mine expires on 02/27/2019 also. According to my calculations (via Excel), that is 152 days away. I'll give it a few more days. -- Frank
NRApistol Posted September 28, 2018 at 06:29 PM Share Posted September 28, 2018 at 06:29 PM I expect that those of us that expire next Feb. to go "active" on Oct 1st. IF not what course of action is available to us? My state senator told me he has NO CONTROL over the ISP, all he could do was inquire.

Molly B. Posted September 28, 2018 at 07:56 PM Share Posted September 28, 2018 at 07:56 PM Before I would begin to contact legislators or the ISP about this, I would give them a whole lot more leeway. My CCL expires 2/27/2019. I will begin checking for the renewal button Oct. 1 just because I would like to see when it appears. I plan to renew Jan. 1, if the option is available. If not, as long as I renew before expiration date, I'm good.
Smallbore Posted September 28, 2018 at 11:59 PM Share Posted September 28, 2018 at 11:59 PM I suspect (yes hoping) the renewal will be handled as a lost/replacement license.Wouldn't 60 days out handle that?

Craigcelia Posted September 29, 2018 at 01:31 AM Author Share Posted September 29, 2018 at 01:31 AM Molly did say when she spoke with ISP, they would be ready for the renewals. http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67980&p=1134982 Remember, this 5 month thing is not confirmed, so don't count on it. It was just an article written by GSL. http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67980&p=1130974 I'll give it some time myself.

Molly, Do you happen to know if instructors need the 3 hour class that they are teaching i.e. do we have to go through the process of signing our own certificates? When I got my CCW as an instructor I dis not need the certificate. Thanks
