The Lake County Sheriffs Office responded around 12:20 p.m. Monday to a residence in the 5400 block of North Tall Oaks Drive in Long Grove for a report of a shooting. Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Christopher Covelli told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that a 47-year-old woman was shot and killed. Deputies found the woman inside the home and paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene, Covelli said.We are still actively investigating. There is no threat to the community, we believe this is an isolated incident confined to the inside of a single-family residence, Covelli said. That area is a hotbed of MDA activity, so we know what theyll be doing...... Bubbacs Posted July 2, 2019 at 02:39 PM Share Posted July 2, 2019 at 02:39 PM Havent seen anything political about this We now have become the fear mongers We are making more out of a shooting Why not list all the shooting in here and shout how each will be the death bell for gun rights Just asking why, sometimes it looks like some need to be relevant, so we build before we have any bricks You have a link about them using this shooting already? Or are we using a crystal ball now!

ScottFM Posted July 2, 2019 at 07:37 PM Share Posted July 2, 2019 at 07:37 PM So it looks like she was at fault and paid the priceIndeed. It appears she pulled the gun and the unarmed husband managed to defend himself. Currently he is not being held or charged. But that could change as the investigation is still ongoing. Also being reported that neither had a FOID.
