Xwing Posted September 15, 2017 at 04:53 PM Share Posted September 15, 2017 at 04:53 PM ... b/c she's going to run for governor. Everyone knows that's her daddy's plan from the beginning.Well, she probably wouldn't be any worse than the other 2 clowns (Kennedy & Pritzker) running. They are both the "worst of the worst" and so is she... This state will be unlivable if Rauner isn't re-elected.
Patriots & Tyrants Posted September 15, 2017 at 04:58 PM Share Posted September 15, 2017 at 04:58 PM A little late to be jumping in for Governor given how many people are lining up already behind Pritzker. Maybe tricky Dick is retiring?

TRJ Posted September 15, 2017 at 06:12 PM Share Posted September 15, 2017 at 06:12 PM Durbin is in a sweet spot, 2nd or 3rd from top of Democrats in senate. Doubt he's leaving 'till the Reaper says last call. Maybe she's looking for Daddy's chair. He's under a little pressure for using his positions of power to undermine a rival for his seat in the last election...Garcia won his right to a day in court to look deeper into the Boss running spoiler candidates to break up the Hispanic vote in his race. richp Posted September 15, 2017 at 06:17 PM Share Posted September 15, 2017 at 06:17 PM Hi, Governors have actually make things happen in a large, complex organization. Senators don't -- they posture and pose and run a small staff. She will not want to be responsible for the struggles that are ahead in our state. Plus, there is the conflict of interest with her dad still leading the GA. Daddy could muscle her through a primary contest, but it's just too big a handicap in a general election. My bet is on a run for Senator. FWIW. Rich Phillips

Glock23 Posted September 15, 2017 at 10:34 PM Share Posted September 15, 2017 at 10:34 PM Daddy already told her he won't let her run for Governor as long as he's Speaker of the House, and he's not ready to retire yet. markthesignguy Posted September 16, 2017 at 07:45 AM Share Posted September 16, 2017 at 07:45 AM I don't see her challenging Durban, or Durban not running for re-election. Duckworthless has 4 years to go so it's not that.Governor - with the rich brouhaha going on now? never mind that Daddy is still king of Illinois. What's left? Washington isn't fertile ground for her party. Mayor of Chicago? Hah. My thought is that she is going to go get some sort of salary outside of politics to save up for retirement, because her State Pension will be worthless in the future. skinnyb82 Posted September 16, 2017 at 08:04 PM Share Posted September 16, 2017 at 08:04 PM Hey, look at what Brad errr Chelsea Manning snagged (before Morrell resigned and Haaavaaard rescinded the offer). All of that after studying English at a community college, being fired from a job after 6 weeks, joining the Army and...yeah. People like Lisa who have accomplished nothing (or, in Manning's case, less than nothing) are rewarded. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk

richp Posted September 18, 2017 at 11:51 PM Share Posted September 18, 2017 at 11:51 PM Hi, My comments about her not running for governor apply -- perhaps more strongly -- to the Chicago mayor's job. Mayors have to get things done. And as skinny notes, Chicago is in such bad shape that she would not want to have that millstone around her future political neck. FWIW. Colt guy Posted September 19, 2017 at 06:02 AM Share Posted September 19, 2017 at 06:02 AM I doubt she is going away. I saw an interview with Kwame Raoul .
