I think that's as pro 2nd Amendment as it gets.

I like it and hope some other counties follow suit.

90 more counties should follow suit like they did before concealed carry. Law abiding people should not be blamed and punished for the action of one criminal in another state and Bloomberg should not be allowed to impose his will on us.

The anti-gun stuff is all coming from the armpit of Illinois....

We can only hope the rest of the state...the functional body parts of the state...can resist the liberal unshaven feminism of said armpit.

And to what end? A sanctuary county for gun owners? Symbolism will not prevent us all from becoming felons when this stuff becomes law.

Symbolism maybe. Sanctuary Gun county, sure. We will welcome you.

The point is we as elected county government must let Springfield know thru official resloutions. Cook county/Chicago does it regularly.

I felt we must do something to send a strong official message. No different than going to an IGOLD rally.

It's what I was elected to do. And it passed unanimously!

Hey, guess what? The Cook County Board is going to pass a surprise resolution that states that "The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" means exactly that, and that any measures that contradict that are to be prosecuted as Class X felonies. They're going to announce the release of the resolution in 18 days!

"A well educated Media, being necessary for the preservation of a free State, the right of the people to keep and read books, shall not be infringed."

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary for the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

The end is dominoes. Hopefully we can get more to follow suit. That's the end.

The first move is always the most difficult.

Are you talking to other Counties?  (please) to get them on board as well?

We lived in Iroquois County for seven years.  I can tell you they are pretty much all fine people. Left to downsize and escape tyranny.
