A majority of so called Republicans in the FL House and Senate voted FOR gun control and today a so called Republican Governor signed it into law. I hope we are not next.

What a coincidence. They passed the same gun control measures our legislators want to pass. Can anyone say Bloomberg.

NRA has filed suit

http://www.chicagotr...0309-story.html

..."the bill raises the minimum age to buy rifles from 18 to 21, extends a three-day waiting period for handgun purchases to include long guns and bans bump stocks, which allow guns to mimic fully automatic fire. It also creates a so-called guardian program enabling some teachers and other school employees to carry guns."...

..."The NRA insisted that the measure "punishes law-abiding gun owners for the criminal acts of a deranged individual." The group promptly filed a lawsuit to block the provision that raises the age to buy guns, arguing that it violates the Second Amendment.

The Parkland gunman "gave repeated warning signs that were ignored by federal and state officials. If we want to prevent future atrocities, we must look for solutions that keep guns out of the hands of those who are a danger to themselves or others, while protecting the rights of law-abiding Americans," Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, said in a statement."...

Hopefully some fruitful lawsuits can come out of all this garbage somehow. Not sure how you can ban someone from having a right until they are 21 years old. But I'm sure the supreme court of anti gun liberals will find a way to agree with that somehow.

very misleading

while some of the same..... some very different

raises age to 21

makes 3 day handgun wait the same for long guns.... unless you have a license (hunting, ccl, LEO, etc)

bump stock ban (who gives a crap)

allows schools to arm staff

allows for more mental health funding

allows school security funding

not bad comparatively

my understanding:
- Bans FFl sales of all guns to adults under 21
- Allows LEOs to search and seize all guns and ammo without warrant for baker acts. Must petition court to get your guns back.
- Bans bump fire stocks, possession is a felony

It also mandates a 72 hour wait period for gun purchases.

The RINOpublican party is acting like the Leftocrat party.

How much more proof do we need to know we have a one party system in the USA?

The Second Amendment of the Constitution protects the rest.

So now when a young 18 year old girl finally gets to move out on her own, she won’t be able to purchase a firearm for home defense or against any crazy ex’s? Seems like it’s setting the younger crowd especially young girls to be potential victims.

Does anyone know how the bill reads? Grandfathering? Enforcement of possession? When Effective?

The bill in question is CS/SB 7026. It is 150 pages long. I'm trying to find a easy link to the WHOLE bill, not just the summary posted above.

Read section 790.065. While it does not specifically mention possession, under 21 may not purchase any firearm, nor can any firearm be transferred to them. No FFL sales, no private sales, no gifts. This law prohibits 18-20 year olds from exercising their Constitutional rights.

790.065 Sale and delivery of firearms.
678 (13)A person younger than 21 years of age may not purchase
679 a firearm.

Sounds alot like Illinois except for the bump stock, school arming and funding for security and mental health.

No grandfathering of bump stocks. The school arming is not happening based on the number of training hours and school boards opting out.

All of this and Scot Israel still has a job and Scot Peterson still got to resign with benefits after flat out telling lies. What a dang train wreck.

Interesting the NRA filed federal lawsuit over Florida legislation that raises the age to buy guns to 21.

The interesting thing is that they rarely get to do so in a more conservative federal judiciary district. Typically we see challenges in the liberal districts because that's where the liberals get their ani-2A bills passed.

Go buy a long gun in an adjacent state then bring it back? *shrug* Unless they changed that portion of the law. I haven't read any of it yet because I know it'll piss me off and I'm already having a bad day heh.

This part is scary; Read this language in Florida SB 7026 You can lose your guns for a year (maybe even two) for "recurring mental health issues," "abuse of . . . alcohol," or "recent acquisition of firearms or ammunition."

How in the heck can you lose your guns for a year for buying guns and ammo? That's like losing my Fourth Amendment rights because I told a cop "No" when he asks to search my car.

Came across a couple videos of eyewitnesses saying there was other shooters in the Florida School Shooting. There is a lot of people saying it was staged for gun control. There is mass censorship on youtube and of online search results and the 1st amendment is under attack too. That's how rights are taken away.

If you ask 357, bullying didn't have anything to do with it, 'cause it didn't happen.
