Lou Posted April 19, 2009 at 12:01 PM Share Posted April 19, 2009 at 12:01 PM This just goes to show that the Libune will print any anti-gun letter they get no matter how wrong the facts are.Machine gun? www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/letters/print/chi-0415vpzonenorthlettersbriefs0apr15,0,3034414.storychicagotribune.comBlame the NRA April 15, 2009 Blame the NRA Thank you, NRA. Thank you for laws that let Jiverly Voong, the Binghamton, N.Y., shooter who killed 13, buy gun after gun. Thank you for laws that let people like Richard Poplawski own machine guns and even have a concealed-carry permit thanks to the extensive background investigation conducted by the Allegheny County sheriff's office! Thanks for whipping Poplawski and your other supporters into such a paranoid frenzy about gun confiscation that he allegedly killed three Pittsburgh police officers. Aren't police the good guys whom the NRA says should be armed? —Martha Rosenberg, Evanston

Thank you for laws that let Jiverly Voong, the Binghamton, N.Y., shooter who killed 13, buy gun after gun. Into the search box and it led me to the editorial. The"comment section" is not open on this one with which to reply. Wasn't Binghamton a "gun free zone" ?Richard Poplawski was dishonorably discharged from the marines. What's Pa law s on a DD? BushRat Posted April 19, 2009 at 09:47 PM Share Posted April 19, 2009 at 09:47 PM I blame Mc'Ds for overweight problem in America. They know that their food is causing overweight, and they do not do anything to limit the amount of food per person. Last time I checked, 1 in 4 kids are overweight, and heart disease is still #1 reason of human death. Both of these problems are connected to Mc'Ds. glide Posted April 19, 2009 at 11:01 PM Share Posted April 19, 2009 at 11:01 PM Thats like saying Ford is responsible if someone gets in an accident with a car. No mention about what the driver was doing at the time of the accident( drinking coffee, reading a note, appling makeup, shaving, etc. etc.) Let's place the blame where it should be- on the person not the object. Fido Posted April 20, 2009 at 01:10 AM Share Posted April 20, 2009 at 01:10 AM Thats like saying Ford is responsible if someone gets in an accident with a car. No mention about what the driver was doing at the time of the accident( drinking coffee, reading a note, appling makeup, shaving, etc. etc.) Let's place the blame where it should be- on the person not the object. It's easier to blame the object than to address the issues that have led up to the violent act, i.e. drug and alcohol abuse, mental illness, breakdown of family structures, etc. In the feel good world of Liberalism no one can be held responsible for thier actions so the gun must be blamed, along with all us rednecked bubba heartless NRA members who obviously are advocating senseless violence in the streets just cuz we're bored! glide Posted April 20, 2009 at 01:18 AM Share Posted April 20, 2009 at 01:18 AM Thats what is partly wrong with this country today. Too many people aren't willing anymore to take responsibilty for their own actions and try to blame anything and everything but themselves. TTIN Posted April 21, 2009 at 03:18 PM Share Posted April 21, 2009 at 03:18 PM Thanks for whipping Poplawski and your other supporters into such a paranoid frenzy about gun confiscation that he allegedly killed three Pittsburgh police officers. I notice the Brady Bunch doesn't take their fair share of the blame for this frenzy. What with their constant attempts to take away our rights and the fact that "our" new president thinks that no one should own a gun, what the heck did they expect?; that we would just roll over and go away? (in my best English voice) Not bloody likely!!!
