These are the "reasons" to be against "stand your ground"

* Your nephew Din DuNuttin has a long rap sheet and wants to stay alive

* Criminals do not get to collect Worker's Compensation while on duty.

* Criminals are cronies of various politicians.

* Guns are eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil

* Criminals vote and gun owners are outvoted.

Well, that was a logical dialogue! So, she does not care for the lives of citizens threatened by criminals. She seems to care, by her own words, the lives of black children only? She is afraid of guns carried by lawful individuals, bur not fearful of criminals carrying and using firearms. She also just seems to care for the life of her son, does he fall into the secondary category mentioned? I am so glad she is rational and eloquent. She was elected, not just someone brought in from the streets for this meeting?

Deep gene pool in Arkansas.....

It’s politics. If the majority of people in Arkansas want to ditch duty to retreat, they will elect representatives to make that happen. Looks like they need a couple more votes.

She threatened to shoot the other Senators if they came to her neighborhood and should have been escorted out in handcuffs. She was acting and being dramatic and playing the race card for her handlers and they shouldn't have fallen for her crap. I'm willing to bet she and the people against it get contributions from Bloomberg.

Notice all the pretty Bloomberg shirts behind Sen. Ballinger when he was introducing the bill. I will never u derstand how its legal for a billionaire to purchase individuals and politicians in any state or local government. I dont care what side of the aisle. Its wrong and dangerous.

Stop whining, sack up and pony up. Bloomy uses the exact same tactics as the NRA does.

And remember, we can thank “citizens united” for easing spending restrictions. Worms turn. It will be fine in a few years. Or decades.

So the NRA has a single billionaire donor that funds multiple organizations, cuts checks to “prestigious” universities to conduct studies on how “guns are bad”, etc?

It appears to me that Senator Flowers feels that her son, who "walks a different path" and other potentially criminally or aggressive-minded individuals have more of a right to act as they will, and suffer no consequences, than law-abiding individuals have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It seems the very antithesis of a good reason to be against stand-your-ground laws.
