aka Posted December 7, 2018 at 10:34 PM Share Posted December 7, 2018 at 10:34 PM Just checked my CCW status and found it was active. The site says issued 12/6/18. Applied 10/30/2018. So ISP worked really fast - that is the good part. Bad part is I lost 3 months from my previous CCW. A net loss of $7.50. Oh Well that is extra cost of quick turn around. johnfran Posted December 8, 2018 at 03:37 AM Share Posted December 8, 2018 at 03:37 AM Same here. Submitted renewal 11/1 went active 12/6. Im impressed with how quick it was, although my original license was set to expire 2/28. Im fine with losing a few months on account of how smooth and quick it went
Quiet Observer Posted December 8, 2018 at 03:52 AM Share Posted December 8, 2018 at 03:52 AM So Were you still permitted to carry during the renewal process?? No one's card has expired yet. Some are renewing early. The first CCLs issued have an expiration date of 02/28/2019. Yes, you can carry on an expired CCL is you have submitted a renewal before the expiration date. From Section 70 of the FCCA : (c ) A license is invalid upon expiration of the license, unless the licensee has submitted an application to renew the license, and the applicant is otherwise eligible to possess a license under this Act. It is valid until you get a decision from the ISP. Unfortunately the ISP has become so efficient that the could give you a decision quickly.
