InterestedBystander Posted June 13, 2017 at 11:16 PM Share Posted June 13, 2017 at 11:16 PM Browser and device work fine on other sites, but its been flakey here trying to read illinois carry forums lately. I know the board version is old, patched and has more that needs to be patched just like me, but it is just acting up more than usual. Latest was occurring with about 95 people reading. And, of couse it isnt consistent in this behavior. examples:Forums list wont load from front page link i.e. select link and nothing happens but icon thingy spins and just wait until I cancel in frustration. Select forums index list and blank screen watching spinny thing until I cancel. Won't open up my PM inbox, just sits and spins To post or edit post, the little green dots blink, but activity never finishes, they just keep blinking
WPxx Posted June 14, 2017 at 02:50 PM Share Posted June 14, 2017 at 02:50 PM I've had the same problem trying to go directly to forums from my bookmarks. I get around it by going to the home page first and then the forums.
Xwing Posted June 15, 2017 at 03:16 PM Share Posted June 15, 2017 at 03:16 PM Well, the good news is that we're working hard on the forum upgrade. The admins / moderators have a dev version set up which we are putting through the paces. More to come over the next few weeks...
InterestedBystander Posted June 15, 2017 at 03:39 PM Author Share Posted June 15, 2017 at 03:39 PM Well, the good news is that we're working hard on the forum upgrade. The admins / moderators have a dev version set up which we are putting through the paces. More to come over the next few weeks...Sweet! And hopefully the new version lets one switch back between versions should one accidentally hit the use mobile version link (not that I've ever done that!) without monkeying with browser and cookies. Looking forward to news on changes...perhaps https will be supported too?
Lou Posted June 15, 2017 at 06:15 PM Share Posted June 15, 2017 at 06:15 PM One thing about the update is if it works like the test site uploading photos actually works!
