Just did a change of address for both my FOID and CCL and received the new cards late last week.  On both of them there is a statement on the paper they were attached to stating to  verify all info is correct and to contact the ISP firearms division if there are any discrepancies.  Well, both cards have my old weight on them still instead of my new weight that would match my DL.

I tried several times to call the number listed but it just gives me a brief message when I call and then the call says goodbye and hangs up.  I have yet to actually get a chance to talk to someone at the ISP.  If this keeps up then I suppose it's not important enough to them then it isn't important enough for me to keep trying just to get hung up on.  At least the pics all match on the cards....just lists two very different weights.  I know I updated it when I submitted the change of address last month...it just didn't make it to the cards for some unknown reason.

They frittered away all the money we gave them so now they can't afford to pay an actual human to answer the phone. Now that all eyes aren't on them anymore, the ISP has reverted back to being rude and disrespectful.

For something like this, I would just use the contact email address if you want to communicate with them.

The weight is not an issue, however, you can notify the ISP at this email address:  Ask_CCL@isp.state.il.us

And you base this on . . .?

Of all the things that could be wrong on it, that is one of the last things I would worry about.  I don't think any copper is gonna ask you to get on a scale to verify its you.  Time for a SN change?  SmallFarva?

Molly B can make contact through her channel, in many cases, if the email is ineffective.

(Molly, you still have someone's ear over there, right?)

Yes, we have a channel of communication open.

I forgot....they read here...the ISP is an outstanding organization that bends over backwards to help the citizens of this state in any way they can.

Thanks for that email address.  I'll shoot them a quick note to let them know, but I am glad that weight shouldn't be an issue.

Smallfarva just doesn't roll off the tongue like Largefarva does...lol  I've actually been using this screen name everywhere for quite a while now.  Well over 10 years now.

That's not what my wife thinks.

Anyway, you got both cards and they're mostly correct.  With the way the whole FOID and CCL process works in this state, I'd count my blessings and be happy I got the cards at all.

Unless its a drastic change I expect they wont care. Last time I did my DL, the clerk asked if my weight differed by more than 10 lbs from what was on existing license and she had moved on to next question before I even answered.

I always get a live person when I call ISP at (217) 558-4684. If they need to transfer me, I always get through to a live person as well. Good luck

I'm thinking they could use a tip jar.

I've been unsuccessful in recovering my account to change my address. I can't get a call in, either.

Will the email address in post 5 get me a response?

Worked fine. I was directed to simply create a new user account, and was able to complete the address change.

Hmmm. I made payment on 11/28, and my "inspect elements status" shows approved already.
