It's that time of year again - time to turn our attention to new bills being filed for consideration in the 101st General Assembly.

Listed below are bills and resolutions of interest filed so far, in both the House and the Senate.  As always, we welcome help from anyone wishing to be a part of monitoring new legislation as its filed, as an important step toward protecting our rights.  Please either post in this thread or drop me a PM if you would like to participate.

Thanks once again for being willing to take on such a huge task.
Please know it is greatly appreciated.

Perhaps I am misreading the bill, but a Marlin 60 would be an assault weapon but a standard 10/22 would not?  I did not see an exception for .22lr and the Marlin 60 can hold more than 10 rounds in its tube magazine.

She had HR1197 in the 100th GA. Nothing in the 101st so far.

Sanctuary cities for illegal aliens good; sanctuary counties for constitutionally protected rights  bad....what a world.

I hope HB887 goes down in flames as it deserves to.

Yeah the plus side is we can see who the Bloomberg people are talking to very clearly here. Its almost like this is a coordinated assault on our rights.

Man, there needs to be a flurry of lawsuits against all of this unconstitutional legislation. Can't a suit be filed before legislation is passed to enjoin it from being passed? It seems like that if the government wanted to pass a law that was going to take away voting rights, and it became public, that lawsuits would be filed before the legislation ever got beyond the filed bill stage.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary for the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Who gets to keep and read books? The Media? Or is it the People?

HB1488..........

Does the guy filing the bill have a say in its number? If so someone didn't think this one through....

Jokes aside; this bill makes a ton of sense. Its 2019; we should be at a point where we can show electronic versions of our DL's, Registration, Insurance and FOID/CCL stuff.

Just god help you if you're phone is stolen and the police respond.
