The Joint Commission on Administrative Rules could block the emergency rules at its upcoming meeting, which is scheduled May 20. If the rules aren’t blocked, they’d be in effect for 150 days.

JCAR is essentially Don Harmon. I wouldn't expect JCAR to do anything but rubber stamp it, but I'm willing to be surprised.

Good luck to him. He's already gone to the length of threatening to withhold federal money and litigation against a bunch of agencies that would not dance to the beat of his drum. This latest tomfoolery will only assure that more will refuse to participate in enforcing his nonsensical rules. He should probably stay in the windy city....he'll get called out regarding the betrayal of his oath if he ventures out this way.

Letting out murderers and rapists, to clear out room in prison for law abiding citizens....

Now he put in a way to get those law abiding citizens by declaring needed normally lawful activity a crime.

Does this man want a rebellion? Does he want rampant anarchy? Does he want riots in the streets and 'nights of long knives'?

What is his problem?

I'm going to shut up now, before I hyperbole-talk something against the posting rules.....I'm being good.....

Jim Edgar is on Flannery Fired Up right now praising everything J.B. is doing, including saying his authority and executive orders are reasonable. LOLd when Flannery asked him point blank about the Pelosi bills state funding and IL bailout...

Found a barber not to far here in Illinois defying Jelly Belly’s order.

I’ll be visiting him tomorrow or Monday !

F Jelly Belly !!

My twelve year olds can cut a Marine Recon cut now which is great!

Now when they do it to each other or the baby, that is going to be a problem!

Any person who violates the provisions of this Sectionshall be subject to the penalties set forth in Section 8.1 of the Act.

What "ACT" are they referencing?

Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act, 20 ILCS 3305 (presumably)

EDIT:

It appears to be Department of Public Health Act, 20 ILCS 2305

Sec. 8.1. Whoever violates or refuses to obey any rule or regulation of the Department of Public Health shall be deemed guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. The Director of Public Health shall institute prosecutions and proceedings for violation of the rules and regulations adopted by the Department of Public Health, provided that he may designate a local board of health or local health officer to institute prosecutions or proceedings for violation of those rules and regulations adopted by the Department. Each State's Attorney shall prosecute all persons in his county violating or refusing to obey the rules and regulations of the Department of Public Health. All fines or judgments collected or received shall be paid to the County Treasurer of the county in which prosecution is conducted.
