jim123 Posted March 22, 2019 at 08:27 PM Share Posted March 22, 2019 at 08:27 PM My mail carrier is a real work of art. I get wrong mail from all over the neighborhood quite often and he doesn't take it back(leave it part way sticking out from under the lid of the mailbox) unless you are there to hand it back to him. My neighbors are equally worthless except for my parents right next door. So, how long do I wait and who do I call to ask them to see if and when it was sent out? I went approved on 3/1 and active on 3/15.
HDUC10 Posted March 22, 2019 at 08:31 PM Share Posted March 22, 2019 at 08:31 PM I went active 2/22 and card in hand 2/27. 5 days for me. I seem to sense they print / mail cards at the end of the month. Which would be consistent with what happened to me. (I could be all wrong.) ETA: I'll add I thought I was supposed to get a replacement FOID card since the number changed to match my CCL. I am still waiting for the FOID. Bubbacs Posted March 22, 2019 at 09:26 PM Share Posted March 22, 2019 at 09:26 PM Active on the 15th didn’t mean it went into the mail. The normal wait is 30 days and MollyB I believe has it posted in here somewhere! They tend to batch mail, and some go out same day and others don’t. Enjoy the wait with some lite reading of previous threads......
InterestedBystander Posted March 22, 2019 at 09:36 PM Share Posted March 22, 2019 at 09:36 PM Per the ISP renewal letter ..."The status of “Active” means your card has been printed and mailed. Please allow 7-10 days for mailing."...

Also if it rains, snows or is a little warm or cold outside there is no delivery! I do have informed delivery. It's great. Amazing how much mail does not make it to my house! InterestedBystander Posted March 22, 2019 at 11:27 PM Share Posted March 22, 2019 at 11:27 PM Then you can report it. Ive done so twice. First time the piece did show up a couple days later rather beat up and crumpled. The other time the local PO acted like they didnt care and it never showed up. At least I knew it existed and went missing.
