MY Lost/stolen foid and ccw process experience

On September 27th I lost my foid and ccw which were in my wallet which was stolen.

The fee was just over 81 for both, 6 bucks for food and 75 and change for ccw

When requesting a new foid a passport photo style from the shoulders up is requested, I just used my phone and attached it to the online app.

So for lost and stolen foid: 6 bucks and a passport photo are required.

For my ccw it was 75 bucks and they require a form signed by a notary stating you lost your card.

Processing time was 44 days from submital to my mailbox.

Foid went active first then 3 days later the CCW went active.

Unlike a renewal you are not legal to carry or purchase during this time

Strangely the numbers match my old cards as well as my picture is the same

I hope this helps anyone in the same boat, any questions feel free to ask :)

Legal to carry or purchase

Nothing about possession as I believe in a recent thread there is a grace period to either keep or get rid of them legally!

My guess is don’t be stupid and have the PO PO stop by the house for coffee and a search........

As for them being the same numbers, that’s just plain stupid on the States part.

If they in-fact make them valid and whole, would not the others be able to be used for purchases and ammo?

In this mans opinion the numbers should be different from the lost ones, if nothing more than 1 digit!
