Big thanks to THE KING for the Palmetto state armory recommendation. My daughter and I just picked up the Shield that I can't believe I only paid $250 for. Great advice King! I will definately shop Palmetto again.

If you need ammo, especially JHP ammo for self defense, look at Target Sports USA. They have sales all the time and really good prices.

A PSA "Thought"....

Regarding the Shield...

I was never interested in them....Until...

I was helping a (now x-gf) choose a home pistol.  Took her to the range..ran thru a few of mine..she didnt take to em.

We went looking and I let her handle, inspect etc.  She chose a shield!  (I was all thumbs up..it worked for her)

Soon after I picked up one for giggles so I could help her with it.  Questions, cleaning etc... I had to have to not 'guess' right?

Funny thing happened...I really took a shine to it!  Its currently a regular in my rotation.

If I wasnt focused on another particular pistol, I'd pick myself another shield at the 250 price...

So..in short...good choice!! You chose well Grasshopper. :)

I've had my Shield 6 years now, put at least 3000 rounds through it and it has never failed once. This is just what my daughter needs, it goes bang every time. I will check out Target sports, thanks again.

Regarding PSA. They have a brick and mortar store less than 90 minutes away from my new house. My pockets are on fire and rifles are cash and carry.

PSA now has five 8 round shield mags and 250 rounds of 9mm on sale for $99.

Just sayin.

The Shield is a nice pistol, but if you are considering it, I suggest you also look at the Ruger lc9s. Very similar gun, but with what I consider a superior trigger. I doubt though, that you could find a new one for $250.
