BradS Posted December 17, 2020 at 03:24 AM Share Posted December 17, 2020 at 03:24 AM Check this out: https://blog.princelaw.com/2020/12/16/atf-to-institute-rulemaking-regarding-stabilizing-braces-and-require-registration-of-currently-owned-braces/ Or this: https://youtu.be/YxFEgsEL92U From the Military Arms Channel The ATF is going to want you to register your braced pistol (i.e. a braced AR or a braced Ak...or maybe even say something like a Scorpion/Evo/MPX) as an SBR. They are going to waive the $200 tax stamp fee. I have been out of the loop for a while now WRT to Illinois gun laws. I know there was a time Illinois state wanted people to become C and R FFL's if they wanted to have SBR's, but I have no clue now how that works. korgs130 Posted December 17, 2020 at 01:16 PM Share Posted December 17, 2020 at 01:16 PM I am still curious about how Illinois state views SBR's??? To have a SBR in Illinois you need a C&R license or be part of a bonafide re-enactment group. And your SBR has to have an OAL with the stock extended of 26”.
