He would have to buy the signatures, but he can afford to do so.

Can he buy the votes?

Current net worth estimated at 53 Billion Dollars.

That's a LOT of U.S. jobs beholden to him.

That's a LOT of money to buy the cheaper votes, and money to smear all of his opponents at the absolute LAST minute - just like mikey madagan..

Mr. Nanny - perfect for the entitled minded, participation trophy, factoid regurgitating non- THINKING liberal idiots our schools are churning out.

Thing is, he DIDN'T try for another term as NYC Mayor - his pollsters told him a snowball had a better chance in Hades.

Hi,

This actually might be better than it initially looks.

If he were to get the nomination, a significant number of Warren/Sanders voters just might not be able to bring themselves to vote for an old white moderate (in their eyes)1 gazilionaire. And every non vote on that side is a plus for the Republican nominee.

FWIW.

Yawn...

Bring it on

These kind of people don't stand a chance in the political climate today. The left doesnt want another rich white guy, and whoever voted for trump is going to vote for trump again. hes also probably going to pick up a lot of middle of the road people, or as i call them, "flags in the wind," as well as minorities.

Maybe he's not taking the bait.

From the COC: 3. Personal attacks and “flaming” other members is forbidden. This includes disrespect, antagonism, baiting, name-calling and a host of other demeaning attributes.

While very entertaining, this thread is sure stretching that rule. I suggest we quit bashing each other and concentrate on concealed carry.

CBS News

Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg filed paperwork Friday to place his name on the ballot for the Alabama Democratic presidential primary next year, a spokesperson for Bloomberg confirmed. Bloomberg spokesperson Jason Schechter told CBS News' Pam Falk that the billionaire had 2,000 signatures, when only 500 are needed.

"An announcement of his candidacy could come as early as next week. Bloomberg has devoted his career - for many many years - to issues of the economy, healthcare, education, climate and gun control and he would focus on those, among other issues important to Americans, if he decides to run," Schechter said.

Representatives for Bloomberg were at the Alabama Democratic Party headquarters completing the process on Friday.

...

Doesn't filing for candidacy pretty much mean he's running? FWIW I haven't seen any news articles announcing Hillary or Ed Stack filed to run last minute.
