I've got a comment that will cause that lil twit's head to explode.

 

MY FIRST SOLO shooting sessions that got me INTO the "gun culture" were AT the University of Illinois, Chicago.

 

In the late 70's, in the basement of a building off of Halstead street, there was a RIFLE RANGE that STUDENTS could use, at a cost of $0.02 (later $0.04) a round.

Iron sighted bolt action 0.22's....

Very true. I am a retired professor from UC after some 35 years. In the old old days, after class, I used to go over to what was then called "Circle Center" and yes, down in the basement was a range where I would shoot. Seems like a long time ago...
