BigJim Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:02 PM Share Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:02 PM So are we ready to stop playing nice yet? We meant nothingI don't think we play nice, so much as staying true to the high road. I would not like to sink to Ms. Willis' level. I'm willing to sink to whatever level it takes to defeat this nonsense. We played nice with this bill and now it's about to be rammed up our butts. mauserme Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:05 PM Author Share Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:05 PM Ms. Wilis brings up the haggard "you can't yell fire in a crowded theater". Yet, you can yell fire if there is a fire, or you reasonable believe there's a fire. And no one tapes your mouth shut upon entering the theater as a prior restraint against your doing so. gunuser17 Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:08 PM Share Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:08 PM Would be nice if someone mentioned the last bill that Chicago police guaranteed would reduce crimes involving firearms by 50%. For instance, what was crime reductiion and how many prosecuted under that new law. Somehow, I doubt the CPD rep will address that.

springfield shooter Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:11 PM Share Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:11 PM I see that Jay Hoffman (D, Collinsville) is a member of the committee. I wonder (this is a rhetorical question) if he knows how many active FOID card holders there are in Madison County? At the end of 2017, it was just under 70,000. cybermgk Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:25 PM Share Posted May 21, 2019 at 03:25 PM Todd basically sayin yep, 100%, as does NRA person, this is just to advance an agenda, without fixing any underlying issues. Mention again, how in panels leading up, the MO of the past, getting interested parties involved. Askeing about Senator Wheelers bill 3839, if ISRA, NRA would support. They say, with a little tweak, it's a good start, some parts they are hesitant to support, but could be fixed (ISRA, Todd, NRA). Rep adds I hear, if we had spent time, and not done Willis underhanded crap, we could have had a good bill that works, and not penalize 2A folks.
