gfifer Posted December 11, 2017 at 08:54 PM Share Posted December 11, 2017 at 08:54 PM Okay, I submitted my application in July and have been diligently checking the website. Today, I noticed when right clicking "Under Review" and inspecting the element, it has changed from "QC Verified" to "Approved"; however, the status on the page still says "Under Review". What happens after this? Does this mean the application was approved? Thanks in advance! Gary
Cordell34 Posted December 11, 2017 at 08:58 PM Share Posted December 11, 2017 at 08:58 PM Yes it does. I'm assuming you did not submit Prints so ISP took the full 120 days they have to process you. But you should go active in the next few days. Congrats.
gfifer Posted December 11, 2017 at 09:02 PM Author Share Posted December 11, 2017 at 09:02 PM I did not submit finger prints. And, after around 45 days, my application was rejected for a trivial reason which was easily resolved. So, now the next question: what do you all suggest for self-defense insurance? There's a few out there. And of course, you find the "goods" and "bads" with them all.
Woodrift Posted December 11, 2017 at 09:23 PM Share Posted December 11, 2017 at 09:23 PM I'm a member of the USCCA. They have a 24 hour hotline you call and they connect you to a lawyer near your location, or one of your choice. That and they also have some training topics that you can view. gfifer Posted December 11, 2017 at 10:02 PM Author Share Posted December 11, 2017 at 10:02 PM I have been leaning towards USCCA. They seem to be the most widely recognized. I got an issue of their magazine when I took my class. Liked that a lot. And yes, it seems that they provide training information.
OldMarineVet Posted December 11, 2017 at 11:18 PM Share Posted December 11, 2017 at 11:18 PM I have NRA self defense insurance. Big plus for me was wife is also fully covered at no additional charge (children would be also if they still lived with me as I remember.)

blck10th Posted December 13, 2017 at 10:30 PM Share Posted December 13, 2017 at 10:30 PM Ccw safe have changed some of their plans. You can get some things added on. Seems like they are trying to mimic some of uscca by insuring you against civil suits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
RandyP Posted December 13, 2017 at 10:50 PM Share Posted December 13, 2017 at 10:50 PM my son and I both opted for CCW Safe. IMHO the main thing is that you have 'somebody' you can call all lined up and confirmed should the need arise. A lawyer 'on retainer' is indeed a comfort. After a shooting is kinda late to start trying to find counsel as the police want to drag you off..
gfifer Posted December 21, 2017 at 03:04 PM Author Share Posted December 21, 2017 at 03:04 PM Oh my goodness... So, I'm still sitting at the same status and got antsy... So I called ISP to see if I could get an idea of what was going on. So, here's my timeline: Originally submitted 7/28 Application was rejected on 9/15Apparently, once an application is re-submitted after rejection, the clock starts over...I was told yesterday that everything looks okay but there is still 25 days left in the review process... So, I guess my question is: are there instances where an application is held until the clock runs out? Just because?
