Update on federal ammo

Simple fix. Stop working on hunting ammo and work on pistol ammo...... See Ya.

Right? It's not as if Hornady and Barnes aren't concentrating on that as it is. Federal should be concentrating on HST and American Eagle, IMO. Even assuming an increase in hunters since COVID (sounds odd to me), the increase in new handgun owners is huge, and most of those are for self-defense purposes. Of course, it would help if some of the more egregious hoarders would knock it off, already.

Self Defense > Hunting

Im in no way sure but Im going to say the larger of the user base is Self Defense

Dont think for one minute that the large purveyors and large lgss arent holding back

Just saying a hundred case pallet of blazer 9mm isnt reason to dole out 1 box per firearm purchase!

Theres no way in heck that the ammo manufacturers never contemplated a situation like the one were in. And if they didnt, they are not very bright. They shouldve tooled up a long time ago, but sounds like theyre just greedy to me.

On top of that, as mentioned above, theyre freaking making hunting ammo...

I understand that every time there is a Republican government they end up cutting back and letting staff go so a factory would take forever to make a return.

It is all the corporations buying each other out why does Federal, cci, speer, and remington under 1 CEO now?

Same thing has happened with medical equipment and supplies.

My bath benches and stool seats are junk these days and at one point on back order for months. hello duck tape.

One company owns most uro care supplies, they don't last and complaints.. kinda like start your own company.

Corporations only exist for bottom dollar they don't care about people anymore.

Their timeline not ours.

Federal at some bought bought out CCI-Speer, I don't know the circumstances, but likely to run take out their primary competition for SD ammo and get money from both ends. Remington went into bankruptcy and their assets were for sale, so Federal swooped in on that, as well. They now pretty much own the SD ammo contract marketspace for Police Departments and Federal LEO (HST, Gold Dot AND Golden Saber), outside of whatever agencies might be using Winchester Ranger. Not good for consumers, in all likelihood.
