InterestedBystander Posted March 28, 2018 at 05:27 AM Share Posted March 28, 2018 at 05:27 AM Does anyone have a line on a Zenith or POF Mp5 clone? Can't seem to find one in stock anywhere... Pistol, right? Any particular model as Zenith has multiples? Z5RS? Z5P? Z5K? (I am partial to the Z5RS) With brace or without? What about other brands like Omega? I've seen a POF at last 2 gunshows (Kane / DuPage) but didnt like the finish on it. The MP5 clones get discussed a lot on the Arfcom Armory HK subforum and at the HKPro forums. The Zenith does seem to sell pretty fast when they come in. Don't know volumes but I suspect military contracts may take precedence. Zenith posted video recently showing them moving pallets of product so maybe some more product is making its way here. Atlantic and Kelly Enterprises (Master Dealer) seem to be a couple of their larger dealers with positive reviews. Atlantic gets notified a shipment is arriving but they don't always know what is in it from my interpretation of one of their board posts. EDIT: Kelly site looks like they may have in stock http://www.kellyenterprises.net/firearms/mke-zenith-pistols-and-rifles/mke-zenith-z-5rs-pistol-9mm-detail.html How can you argue with "*** Do you want a cheaper Price??? Then Call Chuck and I'll give you one!***" LOL Brownells also shows as a Master Dealer. While currently OOS, if you snag a 10% off + free shipping coupon they sometimes have, that is a good savings. If you go to gun.deals and do a search e.g. using UPC it will show who else may have in stock and cost. e.g. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/818300020242 Magazines are pricey for the HK, Zenith/MKE, & POF branded ones. ($50+) There are some others, KCI, I think it is, which are Korean, but supposedly newer versions are getting made in US. and finally, Zenith does have a dealer locater on their web page. Sorry, this turned out kind of lengthy and may have covered things already checked.

jagt48 Posted March 28, 2018 at 12:24 PM Share Posted March 28, 2018 at 12:24 PM Try contacting Mark Long. He runs an appointment-only business out of Willowbrook behind the Target on Kingery. I asked if he could get ta Z-5RS Classic with the SB brace in stock a couple of weeks ago and he had one ready for pick up within a week. It's a sweet shooter by the way. InterestedBystander Posted March 31, 2018 at 01:04 AM Share Posted March 31, 2018 at 01:04 AM Looks like pricing has increased on latest versions coming in, although now the SB classic model only seems to come with folding model instead of offering older straight stock brace type. but that collapsible brace when it becomes available draws me in

Atlantic has pricing and preorders. No release date though. They've had the HK41/91 clones for a while, if they can master roller delayed blowback in 7.62x51 their 9mm's should be solid. Priced way less then an HK too. http://www.ptr-us.com/products-9-x-19mm.phphttp://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-pistols/ptr-9ct-9x19mm-pistol-detail.html http://www.ptr-us.com/ptr/resized/PTR-601-9CT-tight.jpg
InterestedBystander Posted March 31, 2018 at 04:27 PM Share Posted March 31, 2018 at 04:27 PM PTR MSRP: $1899.00 Both models are priced the same. They seem to be in line with Zenith pricing. Some had initial concerns over the PTR rail placement which I think they modified. Other comments preferred a more classic look vs a modern one. Good there are more options available. I've read good things on Atlantic customer service and they usually have discounted pricing.

InterestedBystander Posted March 17, 2019 at 11:26 PM Share Posted March 17, 2019 at 11:26 PM Zenith has finally received new shipments https://zenithfirearms.com/blog/news/ March 12, 2019 GUNS ARRIVE; ZENITH BEGINS FULFILLING BACK ORDERSAfton, VA: Zenith Firearms opened its doors late Monday night to welcome its first large shipment of MKE guns in more than a year. The quantity received equips Zenith to satisfy nearly half of its current back orders. A similar shipment next quarter will satisfy remaining back orders for model Z-5RS and enable limited new sales activity. Effective March 18, Zenith will begin accepting distributor, dealer, and consumer-direct preorders for all configurations of its Z-5RS. A recently negotiated contract between Zenith and MKE stipulates 2019 production and delivery of models Z-3 and Z-33, in addition to third- and fourth-quarter deliveries of model Z-5P in quantities that exceed Zenith’s backlog. We appreciate MKE’s diligence, despite a difficult last year in Turkey, to reestablish production for the U.S. market as a top priority, and to secure our ability to reliably and consistently respond to the demands of our customers going forward. For industry/media inquiries, please contact Andy Eckert, 434-238-2550, andy@zenithfirearms.com. For sales inquiries, please contact Ben Bergamini, 919-368-3940, ben@zenithfirearms.com.
