They realize that guns and ammo sales are going through the roof. Have to get a piece of the pie while they can.

Think how much money they would have to combat bullying in schools if they taxed every Facebook status $10, every comment $5 and every reaction $1.

I remember years ago when Senator Monahan (sp) " If we can't legislate guns away we'll tax them out of existence." Glad he's long gone.

Isn't it interesting that along with a new tax, the democrats create a new way of spending.

I would really like to know what the Youthbuild Assistance Fund does and who it is for. Is this another program for Chicago that the rest of the state has to pay for.

If it is then let Chiraq pay for it's own program.

It will discourage new gun ownership by raising costs (taxes) and also discourage new gun ownership with propaganda to the youth.

So these idiots want to tax all the stuff you can buy in any out of state store and legally bring into Illinois.  I doubt they'll collect much with this tax.

This isn't about creating revenue. It's about raising the expense of exercising our 2A rights.

Just like the Crook county tax that Ms Preckwinkle put on ammo. I’m sure the revenue is close to nonexistent. It’s really about curtailing your Constitutional rights.
