I'm on 93 days since I've submitted my renewal. Still "Under Review" . My license expired on May 28. Any renewals out there that have their new license? If so, how long did it take?

Hmmm...how much interest would my $150 get in 6 months? Perhaps a refund may be in order?

No refunds from the people’s republic of Illinois
But you sure have to right to protest and shred the card after you get it!
Don’t let the isp push you around

At 2%, about $1.50.

I'm with Bubbacs on this one.

Shred it after you get it and send it back.

Attach a letter that says: 'I'm as mad as heck and I'm not gonna take this anymore!'

That will show em. That's how The Bronze take our pride!

I take it back, Bubbacs in absolutely wrong.

You should get a refund and a LIFETIME PERMIT.

All hail the mighty wisdom of Illinois!

Applied:     2/5/2019 (Accepted Payment Date)

Expired;     4/14/2019

Status:       "Under Review"

No fingerprints.  120 days since Accepted Payment Date was 6/5/2019. No Criminal History, in fact last traffic ticket over 15 years ago.  Even had a top secret security clearance in the service.  LoL, Funny part is the state has more copies of my fingerprints on file, as I have been working in Emergency Medical Services since 2010, and have to renew license every 4 years and am required to submit them for that purpose and be checked out.  Not sure why I have to submit them again to another agency.  It took me the full 90 days to get my FOID card renewed too.  This FOID and CCL is becoming a big joke now as far as the getting them out in the time frames they established.  Anyone else as frustrated?

Not sure as I understand you can still carry with your expired card, as from what I have read, you can still carry as LEO is supposed to be able to check the status of your CCW. Anyone know for sure, kindly nervous to try it without knowing for sure?

Yes you may carry after renewing
Many threads here about it too

As for being scared, you aren’t going to go break laws are you?
Then why/how would LEO know you are carrying?
You said you’re squeaky clean!

The answers you seek can be found in the Delay in CC Permit Renewal Question forum.

I know for sure, I have seen a Dupage County Deputy pull up my FOID and CCW status on the LEADS computer screen in his cruiser. You're fine and within the law. It's not like they are going to run your plate and pull you over with guns drawn.

Mick G: Thanks for the answer, I had copied my screen and also downloaded (430 ILCS 66/70) Sec. 70. Violations - Subsections (A & C).  Finally status changed to Active on day 127, after a call to my State Senators Office who reached their liason over in Springfield at the ISP office.  Sad we have to go to such lengths to keep our RIGHTS and the hoops we go through just to be able to stay legal citizens.

Was this an original application or a renewal?  I applied for renewal on 3/11 and i am still sitting at under review.

has to be new, since he got a new foid and it has the old dates

other wise he wouldn't be getting a updated foid during renewal.

my guess since they  dont update foids without being renewed, but IANAL

Original permits did not have matching foid numbers, you only got the CCL.
I am not sure when the ISP started issuing updated FOIDs.

So for those initial applicants who still have an old FOID, we finally get matching ones with our renewed CCL.

Any original permits after June 15 or 16 IIRC were getting the new matching foids along with the permits!

They didnt have this to start with but later rolled it out to get ahead of the matching numbers they wanted and I do believe we asked for also!

Even if you've renewed FOID in the meantime, the renewed FOID has the same number as the old FOID. When CCL gets renewed, they'll send out another FOID apparently.
Illinois' FCCA is a prime example of the maxim that sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.
