Urban/Tactical Rifle II*

 

 

 

                                                                       

Come and join us in this exciting two day class.  Course content focuses on shooting and moving.  90% of the drills in this class will require movement to complete.  Effective use of cover, low light shooting, injury drills, turning & shooting, multiple target engagement, competition drills, , handgun transition drills, and much, much more.

 

Equipment needed: A military style semi-automatic rifle** with a sling***, at least 3 - 30 rd. magazines, 5 - 20 rd magazines or 10 clips ( for SKS or Garand rifles).

800 rds of non-armor piercing ammunition (no M-855/SS109, Green tip). Red dot or laser sights are acceptable and encouraged for this class, but magnified scopes are not.  Having a weapons mounted flashlight will make a big difference for the night shooting drillA sling is mandatory for your rifle, tactical slings (where the rifle hangs in front of you) are preferable, but a standard sling ( where rifle hangs over one shoulder) is acceptable.  Handgun with holster, at least one spare magazine and carrier, 50 rds of handgun ammo. Elbow and knee pads, eye and ear protection, a hat or cap with a brim. Pen and paper.   A lawn chair or folding chair, water and a bag lunch.  A rain coat or poncho.  This class will be in late September, dress for the weather.

WHEN: Sept. 26 & 27, 2015

WHERE: Sand Burr Gun Ranch, Rochester, Indiana

TIME: 9:00 am (Rochester is in the Eastern time zone, one hour ahead of Illinois).

*PPC Basic Rifle, GPS Intro to the AR, or another approved rifle course are prerequisites for this class.

 

** A pistol caliber carbine is acceptable for this class but .22 rifles are not acceptable.

 

***A SLING IS MANDATORY FOR THIS CLASS - NO EXCEPTIONS, THE SAME IS TRUE FOR EYE AND EAR PROTECTION, AND A HAT OR CAP WITH A BRIM.

Make sure that you check the weather and dress appropriately.
