Yes, the clerk does take care of that. I assume it's done electronically these days but, with the start of the new GA, electing a House Speaker and Senate President, etc, updating the bill status might not be the highest priority today. Those bills that were not passed by both bodies by noon today are sine die, though, so we'll turn our attention to new bills which will be filed soon.

Senate President Harmons speaks of the future of the Senate in the 102nd GA, including a warning that Senator Morrison will continue her assault on our rights. His statement came in quick juxtaposition to his thanking the Legislative Black Caucus for reminding Illinois of systemic racism, while apparently condoning the racist nature of Senator Morrison's assault primarily on the Second Amendment rights of Black and Brown communities.

Systemic racism? Which political party runs the system in this state, and has predominantly for decades?

 

Which party runs the most populous city in this state, and has for decades?

 

Maybe the senator needs to take a look at that party.
