Armed Robbers on Train Platforms

One of these days, they will roll up a snake-eyes when they mistakenly choose one of the many concealed carriers who are engaging in civil disobedience and ignoring the CPZ sign on the CTA. Then, things will get interesting.

It's only a matter of time before this happens. Most likely, the victim of the crime will be portrayed as a vigilante. He or she will be prosecuted. Because, if there's anything a DA in Cook hates more, it's a citizen thwarting a crime against their person.

Yep, that's when things will get interesting, à la Mary Shepard, and then the State of Illinois, City of Chicago, and the CTA will get sued, lose the case as they have with every firearm prohibition case, end up paying legal fees to the NRA and the ISRA, possibly the GOA, and the prohibition will be court-ordered to be overturned.

I hope you're right. But, I'd say the State of Illinois would be the only party to be sued. The CTA and Metra are required by state law to post.

The city council, in response to the publicity this has brought to the city, has decided to license the robbers in return for continuing to ensure that law abiding citizens are unable to protect themselves from thugs on public transport. The license will allow unfettered access to all Chicago public transport, and guarantee that upon presentation of said license the thief will be released if already apprehended. Licensees will be limited to no more than three at any one time on one conveyance. The license will be half that of getting a concealed carry license since any higher fee would be considered racist and probably harmful to the LGBTQ community. Card carrying members of the BLM will have all fees waived for the first licensed period of 3 years. This is the Chicago way.

So, basically, what we have here is the Pax Penguina. Apparently, Chicago is now Gotham City!

Can I be Batman?

Batman is no longer acceptable. There is too much suspicion about his relationship with a teenage boy.

You haven't watched Gotham, have you?

Young Bruce Wayne is dating teenage Catwoman . . .

And diddling a teenage girl, as an adult, is better than diddling a teenage boy how again?

Er, he's 16 and she's 18, so . . . the fact that he is a teenager as well, and actually about a year and a half younger, well, it kind of does.
