  1. This absolutely has to be illegal --- even if they can see it. I know when I interviewed for Global Entry with Customs and Border Protection, I was told even if they could see something had been expunged because not everything was destroyed, it would be illegal for them to factor that into their decision. My guess is that because there is no penalty, CPD or Tom Dart are making illegal objections, which is even worse than illegitimate objections.
  2. It took ten days for me to get mine in Chicago after I went active. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  5. I have a mismatch between my ISP FSB account vs.my DL and my FOID. I emailed the Ask_CCL and received this reply: Me: My address on my FOID Card and DL are listed as: 123 ANY STREET APT 3, CHICAGO, IL. The address on my ISP online account is listed as: 123 ANY STREET #3,Chicago, IL. Please note the APT 3 vs. #3. Should I correct this, or does the DL / FOID address automatically pass through to the CCL as well? If possible, I do not want to delay or jeopardize the issuance of my CCL due to address mismatch. Thank You. ISP: That is not an issue. your application is under review. Respectfully, Illinois State Police Firearms Services Bureau Concealed Carry Unit I understand the original post is about FOID not CCL, so this may not be helpful, and please note my CCL is still under review (day 71), however, it does provide one data point.
  6. I am not sure you can do anything to speed it up. You can email via the Ask CCL link on the website, but I don't think that does anything. I applied 5/7 and am still sitting at QC verified. 60+ days. It seems random as to how quickly you get approved.
  7. So pretty late in the process. 75 days or so. How awful, especially knowing your story that the objection is utterly ridiculous. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. She's at 78 days and counting. Though I want me license as soon as possible, I would be okay waiting, if I knew it was just admin time, and it sometimes take 90 days. I think the harrowing thing (especially for those from Cook County) is that each day you wait is one more day you can go under board review. I think an interesting data point would chart the following: 1) Application Date 2) County of Residence 3) Active Date or Under Board Review Date If people knew that by day 50 or 60 or 70 (or whatever the data say it is) there is a low likelihood of a LE objection, people would rest easier. However, as far as I can tell, anecdotally from this forum, people have gone under board review quite late in the process, though I don't know how late.
  9. And ... for the first time I have seen on this board, someone who applied after me has gone approved before me. I am still sitting at QC_Verified. I applied (with prints) on 05/07/17. I applied with prints 04/25/17 , I went QC verified 05/16/17 , Im still under review. Im sitting 1 hour away from 59 days, how do you think I feel? Ha That just makes me feel worse.

  11. I can only relate my story, which took place at about the same time frame as you. I applied for a FOID in early December 2016, and after 32 days I was still "Under Review." I emailed the ISP through the web inquiry portal, and the next day I received an email stating my card had been approved. It arrived in the mail a few days later. I don't know for sure, but my guess is they were running behind; when I emailed, they checked the date was past 30 days and approved the card.
  12. That's 129 days, which, if they didn't toll the time limit by putting you under Board Review, would indicate they are out of compliance. Did you email ISP to see what is happening? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
