Yes. It's in the statute. It would be beneficial to read the entire FCCA. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk

What would be the benefit of using that...Simuntions is the wax bullet often used in force-on-force training, isn't it? I'd guess the equipment and cost per round is higher than real ammo.

(430 ILCS 66/75)
Sec. 75. Applicant firearm training.

(c ) An applicant for a new license shall provide proof of certification by a certified instructor that the applicant passed a live fire exercise with a concealable firearm consisting of:
(1) a minimum of 30 rounds; and
(2) 10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards; 10 rounds
from a distance of 7 yards; and 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards at a B-27 silhouette target approved by the Department.

I merged a couple identical topics that both had replies, so things might be a little out of order.

I have a feeling he's just trying to prove a point to someone.  I'm sure he's read it.

No, by law you can't use simunitions for UK CCW qual. On another note, that is one of the funnier autocorrects I have ever seen! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Just to add some extra information, the range qualification for the CCL consists of a total of 30 rounds, fired at 3 different distances (10 rounds at each distance). There is no time limit so you can take your time and aim carefully, and considering the distances aren't very far, and that any shots falling within the rings count, and also that you only need a total of 21/30 qualifying hits...well let's just say one needn't be an expert marksman to pass.

With all the horrific sexual harassment news lately, the OP's friend's question kinda skeered me a little.
