InterestedBystander Posted August 11, 2018 at 12:10 AM Author Share Posted August 11, 2018 at 12:10 AM The new governor, whoever it may be, will be sworn into office in January 2019. If the text of the bill says "effective immediately," then it's effective as soon as the governor signs it, as soon as it passes into law without a signature, or as soon as the general assembly overrides a veto, whichever applies. Otherwise, the effective date would be January 2020 for any bills signed/passed/overridden before June 2019.yes, but that only applies to new bills signed by new governor, right?. Any bills on the table become dead at the end of the 100th assembly when new Governor and Reps/Sens get inaugurated and the 2 yr 101st general assembly starts. As such new bills have to be filed and voted on by the 101st ILGA, passed and sent to governor.

Afterward, he wrapped the puupies in it and had a light snack on the way to Chugaburger.
Mal2531 Posted August 12, 2018 at 03:17 PM Share Posted August 12, 2018 at 03:17 PM My Union really wants us to vote for J.B. fat boy but luckily they dont come into the voting booth with me . I really dont understand how they can take the oath of office almost the same one we take when we join the military then proceed to try to "modify" our basic freedoms. Doesnt that mean they lied under oath ?
RECarry Posted August 13, 2018 at 11:41 PM Share Posted August 13, 2018 at 11:41 PM Isn't it ironic how the ruling class can never pass enough gun laws because people cannot be trusted, they will just fly off the handle and shoot someone, etc.? Or, they say guns are too easy to get because of alleged loopholes and the alleged lax gun shops? If society is that unstable, why does the left oppose Voter ID? Won't the dark nature of people and the ease of voting for free money from the Treasury lead to voting more than once, registering dead people, busing ineligible voters from outside a district, or losing then suddenly finding "uncounted votes"? The left says a voter ID is racist because minorities will have a hard time figuring out where to get one, or they cost money. What? But the high cost and distances travelled to qualify for a concealed carry permit isn't racist? The left is so full of **** they could fill in the ______.
