  1. Oh man what a turd..... That county can break off and float to the Atlantic.... We should all go to the linked page, on the right it says "report a crime tip" We can all report the needless deferral of CCW licenses that Dart is doing.......
  2. Well, I am headed to Wal-Mart!!!!!! License came today in the mail! Applied: 1/7/2016 Approved: 3/15/2016 Active: 3/15/2016 In Hand: 3/28/2016
  3. This is what we are told is current policy. . . Its not. I had this same thing happen to me. I ordered a new fOID, 10 days later denied a gun purchase as they said my card was bad.
  4. Your foid number changes to match your ccl when you apply for the ccl. Then you get both new cards in the mail.
  5. Go buy the gun and have the shop hold it for you. Then run your background when you get the card and leave with the gun if its been more than 3 days.
  6. Right click on the words "under review" and click inspect element. It will tell you what your under review status is, whether submitted, qc verified, or approved.
  7. Wait.....what ??? Sent you a card but it's not active ??? Explain........ The background check for the gun was pending, not my new card. I got the new card, went to get my gun i had bought two weeks ago, they had to resubmit the background check that was originally declined because i changed my address and didnt have my new foid. But about three hours after i posted they called and said i was approved and i got my gun. So all is well!
  8. Went to get my background checked to pick up my gun finally with my new card, and of course it is pending and I cant get the darn thing yet. This sucks.
  9. My FOID arrived today!!!! Change of address submitted 11/30/15 Active 1/8/16
  10. I cannot find anything in the FOID law that says the card is automatically invalidated when a change of address is filed. Maybe someone else has that information. Was the store refusing on its own or did the ISP reject the FOID at time of the original sale? The law does say that you have to file a change of address within 21 days of moving. On a related note, apparently when receiving ammunition by mail or carrier, the address on your driver's license and FOID do not have to agree. It does not mention guns. " (b-5) Any resident may purchase ammunition from a person within or outside of Illinois if shipment is by United States mail or by a private express carrier authorized by federal law to ship ammunition. Any resident purchasing ammunition within or outside the State of Illinois must provide the seller with a copy of his or her valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card and either his or her Illinois driver's license or Illinois State Identification Card prior to the shipment of the ammunition. The ammunition may be shipped only to an address on either of those 2 documents." Yeah, i thought it would still be valid, but he said when he ran my background the address came back invalid and couldnt verify my background. I told him when i filled out the form and again on the phone that my address changed and my FOID was valid still and provided the new address both times, i just didnt have the new card. He wont release the gun without seeing the new card with the updated address. (Even though my card should still be valid) I updated my address and then two weeks later did the FOID. It took 30 days or so to go active from under review.
  11. Someone probably flipped out under the increase of applications and went "office space" on it.
