Buzzard Posted March 11, 2011 at 05:20 PM Share Posted March 11, 2011 at 05:20 PM I thought the ISP was doing the same against the AG? Or were they just resisting without any court actions?

They were waiting for the AP to sue the ISP I believe.
Lou Posted March 11, 2011 at 10:40 PM Share Posted March 11, 2011 at 10:40 PM I was wondering exactly WHO filed the FOIA. I just found this piece: Downers Grove’s Ron Sandack weighs in on FOID list release issue By Nick Vogel, nvogel@mysuburbanlife.comDowners Grove ReporterPosted Mar 04, 2011 @ 12:11 PMLast update Mar 04, 2011 @ 12:20 PM Downers Grove, IL — Downers Grove Mayor and State Senator Ron Sandack has come out against releasing the names of individuals registered to own a gun in the State of Illinois. In a statement released March 4, Sandack says he has joined other senators in supporting Senate Bill 27, which would safeguard the privacy of Firearm Owners Identification card holders. <snip> The request was made by the AP’s investigative reporter John O’Conner, who works in Springfield. In Sandack’s media release, the senator says that Madigan is espousing bad policy. “You have to balance the public’s interest with constitutional rights and in this case, the constitutional right outweighs the public’s right to know,” Sandack is quoted saying. Hugh Dellios, a news editor for the AP in Illinois, responded via e-mail to a question about the reason for the initial request. “The AP routinely uses the Freedom of Information Act to request government documents. We use any newsworthy material in our stories and the stories will speak for themselves,” Dellios, wrote.Copyright 2011 Downers Grove Reporter. Lou Posted March 12, 2011 at 01:47 AM Share Posted March 12, 2011 at 01:47 AM I was going to post his address and phone number that I was able to find on the web but realized I would be lowering myself to his level. It is so easy to play their silly games. I was able to find Lisa Madigan's home number and address too but we are better than those who think that only the First Amendment is sacred and the Second is an anachronism.
