  1. Just got mine today up here in Fox Lake (Lake County) Applied 1/2 Approved 2/28 Postmarked 3/1 /happy dance
  2. Grats to those that have received thier permits. Just checked and not here yet up north in Fox Lake. Hopefully it'll be here on Monday.
  3. I was able to find where to lower my java settings. I was looking in safari security preferences and couldn't find it. It's actually in the control panel all the way down at the bottom. After doing so, I was able to log onto the application website and start my ccw application. Didn't get too far because I haven't had my prints taken yet and I don't trust the website to allow me to go back to enter the TCN number when I get them done. So since I was able to log onto the site and start my app I'm assuming I should be able to use my Mac to go through the whole process.
  4. Try lowering your Java security temporarily as I had the same issue (same Mac specs as well). See post 9 above. I started up my old windows laptop and had to install java on it, but I got the digital ID website to work for me and it's now created. Just out of curiosity, how do you lower the java settings for safari? I looked around and couldn't find anything that would allow me to do so. So now that I have my digital ID created can I use my mac to start the application process or do I need to stick with the windows laptop I created my ID with?
  5. Since the ISP is being dumb about this whole digital ID thing....if I use one of my 3 year old windows laptops to create the digital ID will I need to use that same laptop to submit my app as well? I'd rather just get it created and then complete everything with my macbook since I have my printer/scanner drivers and such already installed on my mac. I suppose I could do it all on my windows laptop but I'd have to find and download those drivers so I could get all the scanned documents onto it.
  6. I'm on a 2012 Macbook Pro with OSX 10.9.1 with Safari 7.0.1 and Java version 7.45 and when I try to create my digital ID it tells me that my browser isn't supported. What gives?
  7. Thanks for the heads-up on this. I'll have to see if it will work tonight.
