wazzle Posted July 3, 2019 at 07:46 PM Share Posted July 3, 2019 at 07:46 PM Are there any thoughts or issues about purchasing a gun or 2 while the CCL application is under review? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Chief Illiniwek Posted July 3, 2019 at 07:56 PM Share Posted July 3, 2019 at 07:56 PM As long as you have a valid FOID, why would the "under review" status of your CCL application matter?
wazzle Posted July 3, 2019 at 09:12 PM Author Share Posted July 3, 2019 at 09:12 PM I think the same way, but it is Illinois. If they see me purchasing 2 guns in a month, they may not approve. That is the reason for my question. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I've been known to buy two in a week. The 4473's were called in and approved before I had finished writing the check on both occasions.

The state has no access to this info and won’t have any idea if you purchased 0 (changed your mind), or 100.
Molly B. Posted July 4, 2019 at 03:15 PM Share Posted July 4, 2019 at 03:15 PM Legally purchasing firearms is not a condition of issuing a CCL or not, only the status of your FOID matters.

Bearl1989 Posted July 5, 2019 at 01:01 PM Share Posted July 5, 2019 at 01:01 PM Youre fine I recently bought a Sig p229 in .40 and I found a glock 43x for a steal while my CCW was under review. My CCW went active on 7/3/19 so there was no conflict. The only thing is double check that it hasnt magically went to active because your FOID # will be different.
