  1. It's a license, not a permit, as Molly has so obligingly hammered into our brains. The FCCA says nothing about the number of guns you can carry. So if you can carry 9, go for it!
  2. OP, something to consider: I've heard that when you fill out FOID forms at a retailer, they don't send them in all at once. I believe they might hold it for as long as a week or two, until they have enough to send in at once. So, that might add some additional time to your scenario that you hadn't counted on. Moral of the story: always pay via check when sending in FOID app/renewal.

  4. Molly, glad to see that new addition as I live in Cook County.
  5. These aren't post office post marks. These are run through an office postage machine post mark. SwanHunter (Mike Rowe) posted on the IL Hometown Forum on Arfcom today that he, Molly, and Richard Pearson (ISRA head) got a tour (no pics allowed) of the ISP area where the CCLs are being printed. They got to see the infamous printer, which does everything but put the postage on the envelope. So SOMEONE in the ISP office has to run all these envelopes through a postage machine in their office.
  6. Woot! I posted Snoopy's dance from the Charlie Brown Christmas on my FB page. Those who are in the know will know. Everyone else will be scratching their heads, lol.
  7. Mine actually was put through the postage machine on Saturday 3/1.
  8. I gots it! I happened to look out the window and see the mail truck. Bundled up again and went out. Mailman was still sorting mail into the boxes in the parking lot. Said there was nothing for me. He asked what I was looking for and I actually told him. He stopped, looked at me, and said he'd heard about them being mailed on the radio. Two minutes after I was inside, my buzzer went off. It was the mailman with my CCL! Happy Snoopy dance time! Paid 1/2 (with prints) Approved 2/28 (unsure of time) Postmarked 3/1 Received 3/5 NW suburban Cook County
  9. Matt, my mail usually comes in the afternoon. So there should be something later.
  10. LOL. Sick. Wink wink. Purely coincidental you're sick the day your CCL should show up. Haha! I bundled up and went out to the mailbox just to see if anything had come yet. Nope.
