  1. Originally, Illinois issued FOID for 5 years. They were considered good in lieu of a Brady check for FFL transfers. When Illinois changed them to 10 years, the ATF backed off that and started requiring a check at point of sale.
  2. For the purpose of securing in the trunk is the *only* reason you can step out of the car in a prohibited zone while carrying. Personally, I secure in the main vehicle compartment, in a security box secured to the frame of the car - but that’s just me.
  3. I would think that “McLean County Department of Parks and Recreation” is a “Park District” within the meaning of the Law.
  4. The fact that many of us think of gun ownership as a ‘hobby’ are part of the reason we cannot get the numbers to file witness slips, call legislators etc... It’s a right. Plain and simple. “Shall not be infringed”. The FOID is a poll-tax. Plain and simple.
  5. Can you buy a switchblade across state lines? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Setup a gmail account and forward it to the real address?
  7. You are legally required to change your FOID and CCL address within a certain timeframe of changing your address. You risk both being invalidated if you change your DL address and neglect changing these. The ISP periodically ping the two databases off each other - so its not a risk I would take.
  8. It's quite funny. I helped out at my Daughters schools 'Fathers Forum' last year. They had their meetings at an unposted location, so I carried every time. The guy leading it manages an Edward Jones location. He was so anti that even if it wasn't corporate policy, I'm certain he would have posted it himself! If only he knew what was in my pocket the whole time.....
  9. Did they really essentially say that the Plaintiff lacked sufficient intellect to understand the Law, therefore cannot make this claim?
  10. I moved since I first reported. Now: State Representative #97 - Mark BatinickState Senate #49 - Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant
  11. That one expired when the 112th session of congress expired. New version for the 113rd congress has not yet passed the house... and is stuck in committee. https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/2959
  12. Yeah, sometime they release cert decisions during private conference, just not very often. I'd wager a Monday release, 8:30am central.
  13. http://www.scotusblog.com/2014/04/relist-watch-what-does-the-courts-relist-streak-mean/ This is indeed the theory, after 3 cert grants were reversed as improperly granted.... They want to be sure I think.
  14. Yep - just not quite enough support for overriding home rule. Certainly not enough support to repeal.
