Illinois carry redirects to porn sites?

Ever since I've used this site, which has been for at least a couple years, if I try to go to illinoiscarry.com or even click on illinoiscarry in the Google search results, I will usually be taken to some fake "spam" website. This happens from different computers whether I'm signed in or not. I have no viruses on any computer. Just now I clicked on illinoiscarry in google and it sent me to a porn site. Is this part of the site's advertising or is someone always hacking the site? If I go back and click the SAME link again, the site loads normally.

I know one hundred percent my computers have no virus or anything malicious. And like I said, this has happened on other computers. And this redirect has been going on for a while....just the first time to a porn site. AND this only happens on this site....no other sites ever. And I think always or almost always from clicking on the google search result.

The same thing happens to me no matter what computer I'm on. Work, home, etc... My antivirus stops the redirect thankfully but I still get the message about what happened.

Only if the link is clicked through google. Coming straight to the site causes no other problems and I've never had that issue when clicking any other google links.

Okay , is your significant other buying this story ???????????????????? , I'm not

Hahaha no I'm serious. I have seen this happen on different computers and ONLY on this site. If I had a problem on my computers or other computers, then obviously this would happen on different sites. But it ONLY happens on illinoiscarry.

Sounds like a variation on the url4short infestation on the illinoiscarry servers. Google search first click takes you to a different site and subsequent clicks take you directly to the site. It's been cleaned before but manages to find its way back in. If it is the same, it's the first time I recall it's been reported redirecting to porn sites though.

In the 10 years I've been here, I've never been redirected. It's most likely some sort of adware or virus. Everything gets tracked by someone nowadays. I use Yahoo as my home page. After viewing a few sites and going back to the home page, there are banner ads for the exact stuff I was looking at. That's not a coincidence.

It doesn't happen when you visit the main site and browse through it. The problem only rears its ugly head when you do a search via Google and click on one of the Illinoiscarry.com search results that are listed.

It is not a client-side virus or adware, since it has happened to me searching from different platforms and browsers.

Here is one of the less "risqué" redirects, as an example. I selected the first link in the Google search results (first screen shot) and was redirected to the site shown in the second screen shot. (Note you may need to view the images below from the web site; Tapatalk may not display them due to size...)

The URL short thing has been an ongoing issue. My fix for that was to bookmark the IC page so I don't need Google to find it.

There a newer nasty that may be getting some of you. Routers are being hacked and the redirect is coming from your router. When you scan your system it will come up clean, but your router is still hacked. http://arstechnica.com/security/2014/03/hackers-hijack-300000-plus-wireless-routers-make-malicious-changes/

I've never been redirected or suffered any googlecrap.

How?

Dont allow scripts from google.

I run firefox with the following add-ons.

Noscript

Adblock Plus

Cookie monster

The above are the minimum.

Additionally, I'll run

Better Privacy

Ghostery

Ref Control

Nothing runs (scripts or otherwise) unless I explicitly allow it.

And yes..google works just fine when denying it its scripting and cookie tracking.

Disallow scripting on google and life will be good.

For me, the problem is repeatable on my iPhone (AT&T LTE), iPad on portable MiFi router (Sprint network), and iPad on home wifi (connected to Charter as ISP). I get a different redirected landing page each time, however, instead of the linked discussion thread.

Try entering "illinois carry call to action" on google.com, choose the first "witness slips" link, and see what happens, as I showed in the screen shots several posts back.
