  1. I am looking for informed but not a legal opinion on AR mags w/Capacity of more than 10 rnds. If a component of a AR magazine is permanently removed so it will not function as it is and that part is lost in a boating accident. Does the shell with some parts need to be registered? Goes to what is a fun magazine? Like a car with no tires and no tires are present ? Sounds hokey but so are the rules that JCAR has postponed till after Jan 1st , is it still a magazine if it doesn't have a floor plate or follower and there are none to be found ?
  2. Im not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question if not please let me know so I can re-post it If AR Pistol does NOT have a pistol brace does it need to be registered ? Since 450 SOCOM can only fit 10 rounds in a AR magazine do those mags still require registration ? If standard AR bolt was replaced with a single action bolt (such as the Law Bolt 15) that then requiring the handle to be recycled between each shot would it still require Registration? Seller and his attorney say no but I would like a second opinion. Any help or just legal based thoughst are appreciate as we will not get any clarification from the State prior to New year.
  3. My last name also has a hyphen in it. I signed up a few years ago so take what I say in persective. The only way I could get account here was to drop it. Now as a example if someones name is O'leary, you can change that to O leary and the system will take it. I've had this issue all my life since computers have dominated our lives. good luck
  4. So far I think he is the only person known here that covers Winnebago Co. I emailed him to verify if he does work with conceal carry license holders on self defense issues as well as other issues we may face. Hopefully he does and then I'll carry his card with me. It never hurts to have a number to call just in case.
  5. question as its been a few months since I filled these out before. Under "TESTIMONY" there are three choices. Oral, written and Record of appearance only. Since I won't be there, which do I choose? Sorry as I did just reread the how to at the beginning of this post. Thanks for any help.
  6. That looks like it would be helpful. Maybe it could even be pinned when it's completed, or posted on Google docs as a public document? Seems like a very good idea to me.
  7. I would like to request that the names and info from this post be made into a PDF or a plain text file and put in with a sticky post. IN the pdf, please include the date created. Thank you.
  8. Is there still no one in Winnebago/Boone/Stephenson/Ogle Counties yet?
  9. Molly- anyone in or near Ogle Co ? i.e Winnebago or Boone or Lee or DeKalb Co.?
  10. I was going to get my Utah just for that. Now I can buy more ammo
  11. State Highways are still not clear as I know of several with rest stops with no buildings. Just places with a few picnic tables. This is State Highways not interstate highways.
  12. The copy and paste of no carry area's is helpful to many but to others there are far too many that are far from clear. What would be helpful is 23 examples of all the restricted area's. I understand many are obvious but there are many others that are not. Hence the the 23 examples of no carry zones. I don't have any questions on the zones but I think many don't want to ask about the legal description due to no wanting to look or sound dumb. They need the info even if not brave enough to ask "what does that really mean?" So simple examples of each. just my thoughts
  13. Can someone steer me to details of open carry in Wisconsin for out of staters? I travel through there abut 5 times a year. But would not OC without clear understanding of their OC laws as well as no carry zones and retail signage requirements. Thanks for any help as I hopefully will be camping there for the first time this summer. So State and national lands would also be helpful.
  14. I'm sure its been answered but I couldn't find it, Is the State CCL office open today?
